I do my own repairs whenever I can, and although I'm no expert, I do have time, being retired. Oven element, washing machine pumps & switches, taps & shower cartridges, Sebo vacuum cleaner and Karcher pressure washer all fixed in the last year or two. E-spares and associated YouTube instructions are very useful! Also just had a kitchen makeover done by a really good company, making use of existing features, carcases etc where possible to create what looks and feels like a new kitchen.

Wettest I seem to remember was in 1967 v Millwall. It bucketed down and my mate and I took pity on the two sisters from East Acton in front of us on the SAR open terraces and sheltered them under our coats. It got very cosy and we ended up taking them home and out on a trip to the zoo the next day. Epilogue: A fun day out but my mate didn't seem keen to further the relationships, so that was it.
I reckon I had my Christmas present on Saturday! That's how Saturdays should be at LR - 3pm KO, atmosphere from a good crowd, pendulum swinging with near misses, hitting crossbar, team playing with passion, especially after what threatened to be a major setback (get well soon Steve) and a joyful 89th minute winner. A bit like long foreplay with an orgasmic conclusion and Hi Ho Silver Lining to send us all home very happy. Happy Christmas to all of you.
