But they all cost money in different ways to sustain our history and culture.

There are certainly more and less effective ways to promote the language. I guess that overall I think it’s worth it.

I’ll continue to be devil’s advocate…

What else shall we take money from to support the ailing health service?

Musesms?
Libraries?
Arts?
Youth organisations?
The voluntary sector?
Historical archives?

The point I’m trying to make is if we only consent to taxes being spent on things we agree with we’re going to be perpetually disappointed.

Whether individual things to promote the Welsh language are value for money are different arguments.

I think that’s perfectly reasonable WR.

It shouldn’t be long before Artificial Intelligence will be able to lighten the load pretty considerably.

We just need to get rid of Natural Stupidity at the same time 🤣

I think it’s common sense that the language needs help to survive and conversations about the best/most cost effective way of doing it should be welcomed.

I can’t understand what any Welsh person would want it to die out.

Maybe I’ve got it wrong and thats not what some on here want shrug🤷🏻

First mission is not to get an absolute tuning in France.

If you love the game and have five minutes, watch the most recent Toulouse highlights. It’s an unmatched sport when played like this.

Few bits in the pipeline.

Ocean Colour Scene in April, then Supergrass and EMF (my guilty pleasure) in May. Oasis ticket in the bag for July.

It’s pretty much what the judge said.

It is a broad definition tbf.

Direct from the judge:

Justice Goose confirmed the offences did not reach the legal definition of terrorism because he did not kill to further a political, religious or ideological cause.

However, he told the packed courtroom that whether the "motivation was terrorism or not misses the point".

The definition of terrorism is pretty wide. You could argue this one meets it too:

An even if it was all true, we need to look at why a small number of idiots see fit try try and burn alive innocent people to show their disgust.

It's good to have the discussion around the issues caused by the vacuum of information following the arrest, but I'm still asking myself what difference would it have made?

The trial wasn't prejudiced, the right person was caught and recieved an almost unprecedented sentence.

I'm afraid that for some part of the anger is he wasn't the illegal, small boat migrant they were so desperate for him to be.

As I said Cat, I don't know the reasons but less kids in school would mean less learning it.

I'm just keen for the language not to die out.

Any minority language needs support so I'm ok with (the majority) of the promotion of it.

It doesn't seem to say why the number has fallen.

Could be just be down to falling birthrate.

Agreed. There’s been little talk of where parents are in all these cases.

I hope now that justice has been served, concentration is on what happened prior to arrest and not political point scoring.

Years.

Permanently excluded at 13 and 3 referrals to Prevent.

This should be apolitical.

I reckon there does need to be a hard look at the CPS over this one in particular.

I’ve seen some saying that Starmer should have overruled them and released the information anyway. I can’t see any good coming from those decisions made by a PM.

Sticking to that £24 billion figure?

That’s about as accurate as the Truss £30 billion one.

I don’t know what we would know or be able to do more in 5 years time than we could do now 🤷🏻

Because there’s a vast amount of changes that could be done immediately without waiting 5 years to find out things we already know.
