| Forum Thread | QPR - Cardiff prediction at 12:43 18 Oct 2022
Both teams have to bounce back after frustrating defeats. I expect Cardiff to try to do the same as they have seen Luton succeed with. Physical strength, pushing and shoving, speed and loads of long balls into the goal area. So after being put under pressure in the first half I expect us to come back strongly in the second half and end up with a 2-1 victory. Chair and Dykes to score. I do not expect Cardiff to be as strong as Luton were. And by now we should be prepared for that physical style. I will bring all my three kids to Loftus Road tomorrow and try the railseating for the first time. Time for the next generation of Danish R´s to be handed the pain and pleasure of being a Ranger :-) [Post edited 7 Mar 0:01]

| Forum Thread | Ramkilde watch at 15:51 28 Sep 2022
Former QPR player Marco "the ghost" Ramkilde has signed for his old club AaB in Denmark. At least he must be pretty good in training :-) https://aabsport.dk/nyheder/2022/september/aab-og-ramkilde-laver-aftale-aaret-ud AaB and Ramkilde make an agreement for the rest of the year 28 September 2022 at 09:30 by Brian Andersen Marco Ramkilde has trained with AaB since the start on July 1, when his contract with the English Queens Park Rangers expired. Now AaB and the 24-year-old attacker formalize the collaboration. Marco Ramkilde already came to AaB as an U/11 player from the partner club Aalborg KFUM, but after two injury-plagued years in the Superliga squad, it was agreed in the summer of 2019 to stop the collaboration when the contract expires. After a break, Marco Ramkilde regained courage in football life, which in March 2020 led to a contract with Queens Parks Rangers, and the agreement with the London club was extended in spring 2021. AaB's managing director and acting sporting director Thomas Bælum states: - In the AaB Academy, many talented strikers have hatched over the years, and at one point Marco Ramkilde was described by our coaches as the most complete of them all. - Unfortunately, Marco has had an unfortunate course in his first years as a senior player, but since his return this summer he has confirmed time and time again in training that his skills and goal-danger are intact, and most recently, and not least, he has impressed Erik Hamrén (AaB's head coach, ed.), says Thomas Bælum. - Now we have initially made a short agreement, but it would please us enormously if we were to extend the contract in a few months, states Thomas Bælum. Marco Ramkilde, who is noted for 29 international matches (youth level) and seven goals for Denmark, adds: - I have really enjoyed being back in AaB and have put in the effort day by day, and it has been important for me to prove to both the club and myself that I can be in full training over a longer period. - Therefore, I agree that the timing is right now, and hopefully I can relatively quickly contribute with minutes on the pitch and make a difference. In any case, I am prepared to continue the hard work, and hopefully my stay in AaB can be longer again, says Marco Ramkilde. Marco Ramkilde, who previously played five official matches for AaB, will get shirt number 29. |
| Forum Thread | How to travel to Vicarage Road at 11:19 23 Aug 2022
I am travelling from Denmark to London on Saturday to watch the Watford match. My question to you local R´s is how to get to Vicarage Road from Shepherds Bush the least complicated way? Is it by the Metropolitan Line and is the train strike by the way still on? |
| Forum Thread | Jon Dahl Tomasson at 21:13 24 May 2022
As a Danish R I cannot stop thinking that Jon Dahl Tomasson might be a useful QPR manager/coach. I know that expectations and emotions are high in W12 after the somewhat undeserved Warbuton exit. But Dahl Tomasson is someone who could cope with the pressure and would come in with new ideas and a winning mentality. He was most recently with Swedish champions Malmo FF who knocked the Scottish Rangers out of the Champions League qualifiers earlier this season. He guided the Swedish champions to the group stages of the competition before standing down in January 2022 in the wake of winning the title again. Now he is looking for a new challenge. QPR could make good sense. In this Guardian interview he claims that: "he has never been one to shy away from a challenge" and that he likes to develop youngsters: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/oct/20/jon-dahl-tomasson-malmo-being-i The QPR job could pave his way into English football and the Premier leauge. He has seen Thomas Frank do well at Brentford and is a more qualified coach than Frank was when he arrived to Brentford. He recently won the Manager of the Year award in Sweden. Thomas Frank was sacked by his former club Brondby. My main worry is that Dahl Tomasson could be put off by the very limited funding for new players at QPR. That said though he could also prove himself like Frank by signing a lot of gems/free transfers from Denmark and Sweden. If Brexit allows that these days!? He surely has a huge network in Europe and that could be useful in order to attract new unknown but talented players to Shepherds Bush. I know it is a gamble, but one that potentially could pay off nicely and add well to the great work that Warburton has made. |
