Flash Scores rarely gets the formation right. I think what's actually happened is that JFH has found Redknapp's tombola laying around at the back of the managers office and dusted it off to give it a try. |

In that case I apologise unreservedly! I missed the sarcasm. I was at Birmingham and heard the booing. I guess my post was aimed at those that booed rather than you. Maybe one of those involved might like to reply instead? |

And what exactly would that have achieved? Will it make him play better? Or is it just some sort of therapy for you? He's a young lad, he may not (quite probably won't) make it at this level but he's trying and is obviously desperate to get involved. He's played a total of 42 minutes in the Championship. If he's not good enough then so be it, but surely any blame should be pointed at the people who brought him over in the first place? I'm certainly no "happy-clapper", I probably moan more than most, but to boo a young lad who's played less than half a game (yes, he played in the cup - and scored by the way) seems a little excessive even by our standards. But enlighten me, what has he done that deserves you booing him? |

Even if it were true (which I don't think it is) that Green is giving away a goal a month, it's way better than Smihies record so far of 3 goals in 2.25 games. At one point after the Forest second goal, his record read: SOT 6; Goals 4. One cup exit and four points dropped are (partly) attributable to Smithies's two and a bit games. |

So you really think they're being kept on just to prove a point about hard work and professionalism? Even at (relatively) modest wages that seems an expensive way to prove a point. There are many honest and hard working people in the world, but surely to play for a Championship level football team you actually do need to be young enough, fit enough, and good enough? |

If he's half as good as he thinks he is, he'll have no shortage of offers. Just needs to make sure reality doesn't get in the way. |

Tony Fernandes and the art of planning... Tweet: "Think I have got my dream manager. Not what anyone thinks. Take a while. Still a bit to go but I'm very happy. Press all wrong." (not that I've spoken to anyone yet, and I'm not actually sure who it is, but he IS the DREAM MANAGER.) "Oh, we won away at Sunderland? Erm, yes Chris, that's it, he was the DREAM Manager all along! Told you the press were all wrong. Let's give him the caretaker job until the end of the season and see how he gets on". "Right, so we got relegated with a couple of games to go. Erm, yes, well, let's, erm, let's give him the job anyway”. To (no doubt) be continued... |

"all about having standards at a club though, if you let players do nothing all week and they still get picked why should anyone else bother". Because they're not as good? If Lionel Messi decided he was bored of Barca' and wanted to play for us next year, but said he wasn't going to turn up to train every day, I'd still take him. I'm no Taarabt apologist. The guy's wasted his talent, has a bad attitude, and doesn't give two hoots about us. Just saying that I'm not sure that this fresh start actually materialised and that to leave him on the bench all game against West Ham, when it was so obviously heading towards a 0-0 and required someone of his ability to change it, was shockingly poor management. |

But has he been given a fresh start? He's been started twice (a month apart) and been given a few minutes as substitute. And when a manager pretty much puts his principles above our premier league status by not bringing on a potential match winner in a do-or-die must win home game, then I blame the manager, not the player on the bench. I pay to watch QPR players in matches, not to train. That's the manager's job to sort that out. |
| Forum Reply | Sandro visa expires? at 12:18 12 May 2015
Just watched Ramsey's press conference and when asked about this he said "that's professional football". Now, I'm not blaming Ramsey for the visa issue, but one thing it's definitely not, is "professional". It's actually unprofessional, tin-pot, shouldn't happen to a pub-team football. Sums up the whole sorry state of the club. |

Agree with this totally. Thought Dunne was poor but they scored nil. Central defense did what they were there to do. Blaming Austin's lack of pace on Dunne seems to me a bit ridiculous. |

Whilst I think we're probably down, I think those odds are worth looking at. With us at 1.2 and Leicester at 3.2, I'd lay us and back Leicester for the drop. Don't think it's as clear cut as those odds suggest. |

A team with fight, spirit, and belief. They're everything we're not. I don't wish it, but they deserve to stay up, not us. |

SWP was right next to Furlong, covering for the second. He told Furlong to stop Bolasie on the outside, which Furlong ignored. It was Furlong's fault again. He may be good enough for the Prem' one day, but he's not at the moment. Certainly no SWP fan (who is?), but he's done more than most, including the other Philips. |

Well, I'm sure you're right, and it's all about opinions, but - from the comfort of watching from my stream- I struggle with the bit about Taarabt being our best player! |

Stability is over-rated. If you're heading in the wrong direction, then stability is actually the worst of all options; much better to meander all over the place without a plan than to remain stable; at least you have a chance of hitting the right direction. A calculated plan is much better than random meandering. Unfortunately we don't seem very good at those. Personally, I don't think Fernandez gets any of that. We're relying on stability at precisely the wrong time. |
