“We have had forwarded to us; an indirect question posted on another social media site regarding potential coach travel options for the Stockton Town game this coming Wednesday We have asked the Club who have replied: “The Club no longer organise coach travel and the Trust is not in a position to organise the trip to Stockton at such short notice.”” Sorry, does that last bit make sense?! Questions for the Trust, as they’re able to take them from “another social media site”: When were they advised that the game may be moved to Stockton? (Noting that they have a rep on the club board who could then liaise with those who do sterling work in sorting coaches for away trips) Were any enquiries made at this stage with coach companies about arranging possible travel? |

York’s defeat was a real shock looking at where Gainsborough are in the league. We’ve a real opportunity in this competition. Should we ever be able to play a home tie. |

Two consecutive 90th minute winners for two different clubs (Wycombe and Bolton) against the same team (Exeter). All in the last four days. |

Our last Saturday home league game was on the 9th of November. That will be the only Saturday home league game we’ll have played between 20/10/24 and 25/1/25. Since beating Halifax on 22/10/24 we have played two home league games in total. The next is scheduled for 15/1/25. 84 days. Not counting the totally pointless NL Cup, we will have played three home games in the same period. On the subject of work that took place under previous regimes, by continually referencing this it allows the club to shift the blame and conversation about what we have been able to control in recent times and going forward. Speculating about what is right or wrong with the pitch will remain that until the club decide that supporters deserve to know the full details. Or until the Trust actually do what they’re supposed to when representing fans and request exactly that. |

Add him to a list including disrespectful non league owners questioning the location of other “smaller” clubs. |

They need to sort out a chairman too. Their AGM was a real worry. Meandering. |

We’ve deserved a lot more for the last three weeks. The club and the Trust have, until now, let down supporters with respect to giving a proper understanding of all the current problems and what the various contingencies are. It is not too late for them to address this. Note: This doesn’t include raking up who did/didn’t do what in 2020 - we all know that. Deflection achieves nothing. |

After hearing the rain last night, which obviously continued later on as per ThreeLions post, it was a worry that waterlogging would become a potential issue. Whether it should be after such a short period of rain is another discussion, but the problem is obviously becoming very serious. This “dryject” looks to be the immediate hope, but we have to think every home game could be in doubt if there’s rain forecast. |

Isn’t that a view from lowdown by the slightly sloped area that surrounds the pitch, the astroturf section possibly? Can’t see the wall/advertising boards of the Willbutts. The rest of the pitch would presumably have been covered last night when it was colder. The temperatures aren’t forecast to drop much below zero tonight according to Met Office, and the frost covers should hopefully protect against that. |

Ah yeah, also still tickets for sale. Must be a BBC mistake then because moving a game when we’ve already got a fixtures to rearrange, that date may be needed for those or other postponements of far more important league games. [Post edited 3 Jan 22:59]

Erm, why does the BBC site have the Wolves u21 NLCup game listed as taking place on Tuesday 11th Feb? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rochdale/scores-fixtures/2025-02 Is this correct? Surely Rochdale Football Club would announce to its own supporters about fixture changes before they stumble across it elsewhere? Have I missed something on the club website to explain the reasoning behind this change? Or are the Trust going to be announcing it? |

There’s no way we should be looking to play Wolves u21s next Tuesday at Spotland. Saying that, having to switch any game would be a real wake up call for all involved at the club. Most importantly for the Ogdens whose investment in a business that can’t fulfil its basic operations should ensure they immediately launch a detailed investigation, making changes where required. |

https://www.daletrust.co.uk/2025/01/pitch-inspection-isuzu-fa-trophy/ If they’ve time to re-produce what we can all see on the club website, wouldn’t it be a better use of the Trust’s resources to find out more information about the current situation with the pitch? Or finding out why their members and other supporters can’t stand in the Sandy Lane end? If they can identify a process where someone on the Trust board can regularly identify supporter concerns without prompting maybe? Though it may require someone who also has a definitive contact with the club and its board. Oh. |

Good of them to provide full details about what actions have been taken since Wednesday’s postponement to protect the pitch from the forecasted weather. Oh. |
| Forum Reply | Tickets at 13:45 3 Jan 2025
But the debate it created about the Sandy was a real positive because it’s identified an issue for the club and the Trust to follow up on. An issue that has been reflected in the ticket sales. |

Cheers for that. Is there also a non-automated system available? The website mentions the inflatable rollers with covers that can be stored either pitch side or elsewhere. |

Which Rochdale fans are making excuses for games being called off? The rest of the thread illustrates how we look for solutions to problems at our club and will push for answers, rather than accept everything we’re told and ignore things because we’re doing quite well on the pitch. Doing otherwise could end badly. See Bury 2013-2019. |
