Just for the avoidance of any doubt
When the club was sold to Kaplan and Levien
The Trust wrote to all previous shareholders, less than 48 hours after finding out about the deal and suggested that if the deal was right for the club then an offer for our shareholding would be considered by the members
I know that as fact. I have a copy of the letter. My signature is on the bottom of it as is my name.
Just saying as it kills the story that the Trust said they would never sell that is peddled around.
It was noticeable that he pointed out that Coleman wasn't the main shareholder but his 'mates ' that he brought into the club. As you alluded to there is more to come out until we fully understand how positive we can feel going forward. Change was needed and we have that, but at the moment all the underlying problems are still there apart from the removal of people who seemed to have lost interest ( choosing my words there)
I was a member of the Trust back then, I'm certain enough with my memory that the Trust did contact the sellers stating they would consider selling if the terms were amenable. Of course the buyers would only want to pay a figure for the club, if having to buy the Trust shares as well could have resulted in a lower £ per share
""We hopefully have the ability to reach out across the aisle to our supporters and to rebuild their trust and to work together on this fresh start here."
I remember being at the away game at Chesterfield after this was announced.
We thought then we were in the money
Michael Thompson, remember this clown ? by NotLoyal29 Jan 2021 19:32 Just had a chat with Keith, apparently it all came to a head at Blackpool away. Dougie done him for 100k after his cullis nonsense.
"It's since been suggested by sources that the settlement might have been agreed as part of the signing of Nathan Wood, who followed Martin to Southampton the following summer."
