Feyenoord 3 Bayern Munich 0 in the Champions League tonight. Feyenoord had 20% possession with Bayern 80%. Just goes to show (are you listening Russell Martin?)... what a load of bollocks all this possession based crap is after all. It's what you DO with the ball that matters. |

I think with Albert Grønbæk and Mateus Fernandes as our attacking midfield duo, we should have a bit more about us in the middle of the park. Fernandes, who's only 20 lets not forget, is looking better with each passing game. He's got a good engine on him too for someone that young. Grønbæk looks/sounds decent and at 23, is a good age too with plenty of experience already (albeit only a loan for now). We just need a striker, a good striker, that can and will score goals. I'm hoping that SR manage to pluck one from somewhere who's surplus to requirements at a big European club say. Everyone from mid-PL table downwards is looking for the same of course but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that SR, somehow, some way, manage to pull a rabbit out of the hat! |

We are dead certs for relegation, probably almost certainly with THE lowest points total ever accumulated by a Premier League team. There is no point throwing good money at players when we're going to need a total rethink and player overhaul in the Summer. No one even knows for sure if Juric is staying! The damage has been done. No decent striker is going to come to Saints, cut well adrift as we are, for anything other than the high wages. The worry now is... can we trust SR to get things right in the Summer when we're going to need that total overhaul? Past recent history shows that I won't be holding my breath on that score. I hope to be proved wrong of course. |

Juric said Sulemana didn't recover fully from the Old Trafford game, hence him sitting on the bench. Another decent game from Fernandes today. I really like the lad and I think he's got a very big future. |

Ben Brereton Diaz has been spotted at Sheffield United, so looks like he's off the books too. |

This has got 4-0 written all over it... possibly 5-0. There's poor - and then there's utter sh1te. No guesses as to which of those we come under. |

Probably totally fed up with him playing around at the back... a lack of penetration... and insisting on repeatedly calling her "Jack" just before the vinegar stroke. |

To be fair, Juric will have had a month in charge come the Forrest game so he should have a pretty good idea of who is decent and who is pants... although you could have fooled me tonight! I'm sure most of us fans know who we'd have in the starting line-up - and to be fair to the gaffer - he chose wisely regarding the starting eleven at Old Trafford. Alas, and no wonder he wants additions in this window - even he made the changes in hope rather than expectation. I reckon he was hoping that maybe, by some miracle, one - maybe just one - of the substitutions would actually, for once in their fooking lifetime, make a difference. Alas, as usual, it wasn't to be... yet again. We just went downhill from the moment Tyler Dibling limped off the pitch with an ankle injury. It's so disheartening when you watch the likes of Smallbone, Tall Paul, Adam Armstrong, etc stood on the byline waiting to come on. By then, you just know the game is up and all is lost... |

Mid-January and Saints, Ipswich & Leicester make up the bottom three clubs in the Premier League tonight. Looks like it's going to be a carbon copy of last season where all 3 promoted teams went straight back down. |

It feels like Juric is still getting to know the players & doesn't yet understand who can play football & who has limited ability (the latter being more numerous in number of course). Best he (Juric) learns about his squad and quick. |
