Tonight’s games 20:32 - Feb 11 with 2349 viewsEllDale

Altrincham and Hartlepool both winning at the moment so Dale are down to ninth as it stands.
A minimum of three games in hand on other teams though and Hartlepool will have played five more.
Halifax also in action - drawing at Southend.

McNulty could do worse than watch Southend v Halifax live on DAZN whilst keeping an eye on the practise match?

Halifax two down at Southend. We need to find some results again in these next two away games to ensure the games in hand can then be capitalised on.

Southend having to wear their third kit due to Halifax’s three kits all being unsuitable against navy blue.

Kick them out of the league.

I'm sure he'll have taped it.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Probably the best set of results we could have hoped for.

I mentioned in a previous post that I feel like we're on the cusp of something here, but we're at a bit of a crossroads now, and how things go from here could swing either way.

The game against Halifax is a must-win, especially with them playing Boston at home on Saturday and already being 5 points ahead of us.

Then, there's that crucial week in March with Gateshead, Wealdstone and Altrincham all at home — that could end up being a defining week for our season.

Personally, I’d really love to see us go all out in the FA Trophy quarter-final against Altrincham too. We’re just two games away from Wembley and, let’s be honest, as Dale fans, we don’t get many big occasions to look forward to like this!

One thing I’m disappointed about though is that we haven’t really freshened up the squad as much as some of the other teams chasing the top spots. I’m not sure why that is, but it’s clear we need more depth. We desperately need another forward and a midfielder — those positions were so obvious when looking at the bench options on Saturday.

Finally, the pitch really has a big part to play in how this season plays out. It’s hard to ignore how much that could affect our momentum moving forward - and how much it already has.

Can't disagree with any of that, but would add that for me, the biggest factor will be the way Jim gets us to play. More of what we have seen recently, and we will slip away to a disappointing mid table position somewhere near where we finished last season, whilst a more attacking outlook could see us in or around the play offs. Our inability to shoot in all but a few games is already costing us which is disappointing as I feel we are not getting the best from our players.

All the more curious he has just brought in an extra defender on loan, and played both Kingdon and Ferguson as subs in the Ebbsfleet game. Surely one of the many midfielders or a junior striker-Kelly?

We need a big unit up front, somebody who can bully defenders and score a few goals. Kelly hasn't even been featuring on the bench and he's lightweight, we've got too many vertically challenged players as it is.

You should have seen the lad we brought on in injury time last night.

Having just watched the highlights, Southend changed shirts at half time.

We should turn up in blue at Halifax next week and make them change for once.

That’s the issue, I don’t think they’ve an adequate alternative kit.

No, that’s the issue since day one. If the NL couldn’t see a problem with a team who wear blue having a black away kit and a dark grey third kit in a league containing ourselves and Southend, then it illustrates a lack of concern on their part.
