Still bitter it's not us there! Wonder if anyone else at the club cares.

With the state United are in, I'd have fancied us to go there and make a real game of it.

Come on you Foxes!

£51 a ticket for a Friday night game is even more of a p@stake than we charge away fans.

We wouldn't have got them , different ball number

It's being so happy that keeps me going.

United look pants so possibly we could have got a rare win at OT but only if we played the same team as against Blackburn. If we made 6 changes again then we would lose.

Meanwhile, we’re 3 points off 6th with a winnable match on Tuesday and then a winnable match on Friday next week.

Did you get to the Millwall match in the end S_E?

I'm still mystified as to how they allocate the numbers for the fourth round.

I'd quite fancy us against Man Utd. Frey v Maguire would be a fun battle. Ronnie Edwards could play in his suit against Rasmus Hojlund

I thought it was done on the match numbers from the previous round’s matches? The winner of the 1st match drawn out in the 3rd round was allocated ball number 1,and so on for all the 32 ties.

Yes we would. In the 4th round the balls are numbered according to when the tie was picked in the 3rd round draw. So if Leicester v QPR was the fourth tie out of the hat, the winner of that tie would be number 4 in the 4th round draw.

For the 3rd round draw, PL and Champ teams are 1-44 in alphabetical order, and the winners from the 2nd round are allocated numbers (45-64) according to where their tie came in the 1st round draw.

So United win it at the death with a blatantly offside goal from Slaphead that, the comms reminded us, would have been chalked off by VAR. Because, of course, (i) it's Old Trafford, and (ii) it's too much to expect the officials to do their jobs without it.

Bent, incompetent, or quite possibly both!

What a sh*tshow! Maybe it's a good thing we don't do cup competitions after all.

I was thinking the same. They stayed in the cup last year because var chalked off a Coventry goal for offside and get through this year because there’s no var.

Crass incompetent officiating there. Didn't want another 30 minutes, not even close to being onside. WTF?

The linesman was right in line with the clear offside so no excuses he missed that. Must have his eyes shut...

You just know if it had been the other way, the flag would have gone up as the ball was kicked!

I don't think it's incompetence. When something is that blatant, it has to be corruption!

Let's hope United get absolutely tonked in the next round - unless the officials come to their aid again, of course.

About as offside as it gets but what impressed me for about the last half an hour was the way that Mcguire pulled the ball down, looked up and effortlessly pinged the ball 60 yards, straight onto a Leicester player's foot. I mean he did it about 4 times. That said, to be fair to him, he despatches the header well, even if he is so offside that he's almost behind the Stretford End.

Never knowingly right.

So blatantly bent. How can a linesman directly in line not spot a stream of United players behind the last defender?

I thought the linesman was brilliant. Maybe backing Man U at HT might have influenced my view

To be fair on him he's a very limited defender but brilliant with his head going forward.

Like that perfectly good goal we scored against Sunderland in the cup. Some proper whacky decisions in the cup.

Watched a bit of the Man Utd v Leicester game last night while at the pub. I was a few pints in by the end when this 'goal' was scored but even I could tell that was offside!!

I would have been absolutely fuming if that had been against us.

....and therin lies the problem.

The offside rule, that I played under and refed a bit with, would have given offside against all of them as soon as the ball is kicked. The current rule only gives a decision against a player when he becomes' active'. WTF are they doing on the pitch if they are not active?

No excuse for the error but I can see the confusion, trying to watch several players and determine if the one that plays the ball was one of those who were standing in an offside position.

As for VAR, it seems to be here to stay. So let's make it more sensible. Twenty seconds to make a decision, no stupid red and green lines, original decision stands unless it's clear and obvious.

Agree with your comments re 'acticve' or not, FB.

Not about keeping VAR, though. I'd bin it. And bin the bin.
