January Transfer Thread 13:27 - Dec 23 with 163861 viewsKeithHaynes

Done some asking and Oli McBurnie is most certainly up for a loan back to the UK this window. I’ve been told four Championship clubs are interested. This will all fall on the fee’s involved plus he is on in the region of €36,000 a week. Big numbers but we know how these things can be negotiated.

Do we have the money ?
Yes.

P&S will need to be positive and only the club really know where we are with that at this moment in time, It won’t be massively healthy. Oli has played fourteen games for Las Palmas this season with no return. He has never been a prolific striker, but could he settle into Luke’s team ?

Swans playing a waiting game
Lots of rumours swirling around about Jacob Wright this afternoon.

Our understanding is that there is still an agreement in place between Swansea and Manchester City, but the Swans are now waiting for the green light from the player's camp.

The same can largely be said for Bobby Clark, who appears keen on a return to these shores just five months after signing from Salzburg.

The picture will surely become clearer on both of them within the next few hours.

Things are much more straightforward for Lewis O'Brien, whose loan move is likely to be confirmed later this afternoon.

Groundhog day

Poll: Should Coleman ask Curt for advice/help?

Strangely enough players don’t seem to want to come to play for a team that has a useless manager, gets hammered every week, scores hardly any goals and pays peanuts.

Who would have thunked it?

Poll: We all dream of a managerial team of Alan Tates?

So apparently Coleman has singlehandedly worked around the clock overseeing every part of our recruitment throughout this window. Only one person to blame if we fail then.

Damola Ajayi From spurs, don’t read too much into that.
He’s not keen.

Who is! Not many by the sound if it.

Geography?
Pay structure?
Manager?
League position?
State of the bloody pitch?

Whatever the reason(s), it’s the same every transfer window.

I’m not in the least bit surprised about this Jacob fella. Actually, I’m not overly disappointed by it because I had a hunch he might not be ‘t up for it’. We’ll never know now.

We need more if we are going to give ourselves the best chance. All I hope is that if there are t any more we use some of that money to get rid of the real problem at 11-01 tonight!

with just mins to go we are no better off for all the planning and securing guys to come in and improve the squad, the board have had months or even weeks to sort things, but since these U S A owners have taken over the bis has been abismal and the new board have not improved an iota same old promise after promise transfers sorted when window opens and here we are desperate for at least 3 or 4 but same every window, how the loyal fans of Swansea a f c have been led up the garden path by these owners yet again deplorable what is the point ?????

Usual lies started in November…ish…”targets lined up…great work being done by backroom staff” etc. Two loans in….and one purchase loaned out….never saw that coming….is better than I expected.
The CEO insults the intelligence of every fan with his platitudes and excuses….and believe me there’ll be the usual cut and paste apologies over the coming days regarding their recruitment performance.
