January Transfer Thread 13:27 - Dec 23 with 56189 viewsKeithHaynes

Done some asking and Oli McBurnie is most certainly up for a loan back to the UK this window. I’ve been told four Championship clubs are interested. This will all fall on the fee’s involved plus he is on in the region of €36,000 a week. Big numbers but we know how these things can be negotiated.

Do we have the money ?
Yes.

P&S will need to be positive and only the club really know where we are with that at this moment in time, It won’t be massively healthy. Oli has played fourteen games for Las Palmas this season with no return. He has never been a prolific striker, but could he settle into Luke’s team ?

Because of the clubs change of accounting year, now ending on 30th June. Any player sales to be included in this year need to be done this window or between June 12th and 30th.

That will be for next years accounts 👍

This years cover 23/24.

Bit you are right, for next year that is right.

As long as being in the club who offer the most players to the Wales squad. Of course he will be more in the eye of Bellamy, especially if he plays alongside Cabango, Oli and Joe.

No brainer.

If Preston or Plymouth do outbid us he could just say I don"t want to go there.
And kind of end the bidding war straight away.

Or we could go back in the summer and get him for free.

I should have been more clear, it's like the old days working a week in hand.

He wants to come to us that’s a definite, the problem is Wycombe are continually upping the price. Going to Plymouth or Preston will do nothing for his international career. The issue as I understand it is the instalment payments, we will meet their price I’m certain but how those staggered payments are agreed is now crucial.

Thanks that clears the situation up.

He didn't play in the other 2 rounds, deliberately not to be cup tied?

So Kyrell Wilson signed a new contract, it's been in the pipeline for awhile so glad that got over the line.

Keith, you could have done the story 24 hrs prior with the breaking news 😉

I was discussing his contract with someone off here previously through a DM. Possibly a loan at the end of the window depending on players in and out. The club wanted the contract signed before even looking at a loan. Apparently a couple could be going out on loan this window, not counting the two keepers, if not definitely the summer.

Luke Cundle not in Wolves FA cup squad today.

Could mean someone is in for him or they just think he isn’t good enough.

Can you imagine him playing in a system like ours? LW would hook him in minutes for playing a pass that wasn't a 100% cert.

One of the most fun players to watch we've ever had though. You'd never know if what he was going to do next would be brilliant or idiotic. All the talent in the World but a 10p brain controlling it.

Apparently his missus was forever having to collect him from the outdoor courts in Glais because he was always down there having a kickabout with the local children. Just a big kid.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

There is a lot of juggling going on and moving some players out on loan will open up things regards wages.
Deals can be done with payments done done the line but wages scope regards to FFP are the issue.

We have a certain one or 2 guys in the club with money and willing to spend but FFP is the hurdle.

The Pedersen wage will make life a bit easier come the summer, we can shift some loans out to give us breathing space this month until the summer then that is the ideal scenario to bring some decent arrivals in.

I just don’t see us getting this lad. He's really good and should attract a few clubs. If Preston are one then it’s not that far from where he lives I’d imagine. That may be instrumental in his thinking, who knows.
