5 Things About The Liverpool Game 09:58 - Nov 25 with 1977 viewsSaintNick

1. The Red Wall - this has backfired on us our fans need the away fans to bounce off and that is not happening so there were large gaps of silence from the Northam End, dare I say it we need a drum and a group of ultras willing to keep going throughout the game.

2. Onuachu, showed a lot of battle, but when does he actually get the ball in the box, not his fault, but he is dropping deeper and deeper to get the ball, we need him up front, but we are never going to give him the ball so why play him, not a criticism of the player but our tactics.

3. £6.10 for 4.1% lager, ok you get 10% off for a while before kick off but that is robbery.

4. Didn't see any evidence of Liverpool fans in home areas, anyone see any incidents though.

5. We could win the cup game,

It was clearly pointed out to those that made the decision, the northam wall will not achieve what you think. The whole idea that because away fans were behind a goal, they somehow benefited was absolute garbage. Last season showed that with 15 home wins and many games with excess away fans present. Yesterday was the perfect time to help vocally and it failed again.

The racist song about Onuachu was embarrassing.

Last season we were in the Championship with one of the biggest and expensive squads. This season we have 1 win in 12 games, with no change in ludicrous tactics and we are expected to jump up and down like happy bunnies.

Its really not, when the stadium holds less than 21k

Maths not your strong suit?

Sure thats a coinvent excuse. ....

I wouldnt be surprised if Saints Woman get a bigger home attendance than you guys with in a few years. I Guess now days your younger fans support Chelsea / Man City etc.

Poll: Has the Ross Stewart deal already paid off as Nick says?

That was the quietest the Northam has been this season, I sit in block 3 and the atmosphere was terrible, one funny bit when tall Paul did his mazy run and loads included me jumped up with sheer joy at seeing a saints player do something different.
Liverpool fans hardly sung 1st half, got going 2nd half.
Had a dad with 2 boys about 8 and 10 in front, the boys were clearly Liverpool fans whilst the dad was a saints fan, how this is allowed to happen is beyond me, my kids were brainwashed from day 1.

Dad's and their kids that support other teams has always happened. Worse, I was with someone this morning who paid £250 for 2 tickets off a season ticket holder (to take his kid to his first Liverpool game)

Honestly mate, it wasn’t loud at all. Wish I could say otherwise.

The Liverpool fans sounded a lot louder, and they sound 10 times louder on the telly with being stood nearer to the commentators.

I refuse to sing that godawful song which mentions Channon. It’s a Scousers song and we embarrass ourselves completely by singing it.

The atmosphere is miles worse with the new set-up. We are almost as quiet as Boscombe, which is as bad as you can get.

Fair enough Pat, but personally I thought the atmosphere was "ok" certainly not saying it was thunderously loud though.
Maybe if we won a few more home games it may inspire a bit more noise .

Our fans song repertoire is pretty lame that's for sure.
I really wish we could come up with a few more original songs/chants but as Frannies Tache says not enough people want to join in when they've come up with something new and rather sing the anti pompey guff instead.

I do like the noise and singing of the copied Scouse song as much as it pains me to admit , but it's got a real uplifting vibe about it.
At the end of the day we're singing to hopefully to lift our players and I'm sure they couldn't give a monkeys about where the song originated from.

We need more simple catchy songs as I reckon they'll catch on eventually....remember how loud and uplifting the good old...Ole...ole ole ole......Guly...Guly.. Simple and easy to join in.
