He ain't being sacked! 12:21 - Oct 21 with 2523 viewskingslandstand1

"The owners have total faith in RM and it's a 10 year plan, however he (RM) needs to convince the players to believe in him (RM)" which could be read as he's got til the next international break to save his job. Ok, lose at City, but Everton (H) and Wolves (A)?
That's come from Dragon apparently listening to Talksport now, but Martin's O'Neill and Keown also said he shouldn't have blamed the defeat publically on one player. They also said (as has been said a 1000 times on here), that our recruitment has been sh1t!

It won't be a ten year plan because there are not that many divisions to descend through.

Alex Crook also said that he has spoken to many Saints fans (well he does live in this area I believe) and he said that while we are an impatient bunch (?), there are a lot of Saints fans who are not happy with the current situation - no sh1t Jose!!

Does anyone know what we should expect to see at the end of this 10 year plan? Chances are that I'll not be here to see it but it'd be nice to know.

Are we sure the club meant ten year plan? Could it have been misconstrued for ‘ten pledges’ ??

What farkin nonsense is that? What does it mean, any ideas?

I'd hoped that Dragan had a bit about him so he could counteract the idiots like Ankersen. More hopes dashed. Perhaps the only hope is that this is the traditional "vote of confidence" before the manager is sacked.

Frannies Tache has made it a bit of a mission to get the 5 pledges from the club, dating back to Krueger’s era.

He is still waiting, I believe.

Totally ridiculous
Whats the point in keeping a plan for 10 years that is a plan to fail?

If this is true it again emphasises how out of touch SR and Dragan are with the realities of football. It is impossible to have a ten year plan simply because, unless the team in question has continual incremental improvements, they will always be coming under extreme pressure not least from their own fans. If the team crashes and burns like we are then any ten year plan goes out the window unless the owners are prepared to play in front of near empty stadiums. Ok, have a plan and if it continues to work stick with it but you can't set out with a ten year plan in these days where owners and managers are judged on results and will not get long if things go south.

To be fair even Stalin kept his plans to five years, can SR learn nothing from murderous regimes?

Well they seem to have worked out how to torture 27,000 people every other Saturday.

When they sacked Jones they said they were prepared to give him more time but his mental post match interviews forced their hand. So it makes sense they're going to give RM more time on that basis. It'll take a fans walk out at half time or similar to force their hand.

They won't sack him. There is no appetite to appoint a manager who won't do as he is told or who will demand money to spend on the team. They like yes men and managers from the lower leagues who feel lucky to be here. That's how our owners work. Again, the fans are barking up the wrong tree, as they did with Ralph, because ultimately these owners won't improve things and they should be the target of the fans' fury. Keep swapping one dud manager for another is just going round in circles. But that's what will happen with these owners.

There's also no appetite to spend 30 million on changing the manager.
