Thought the comments on transfers around 7 minutes were interesting

Managers always sound a bit tetchy when they face joining the illustrious QPR ‘6 successive defeats’ club.

Baz_QPR said that we played like it was pre-season at times.
There is something in that and I think that there is a lesson to be learned with regard to the pre-season programme. Over a few short weeks, we played, I think, six matches which 'did not matter'. In the last four of them, incidentally, we scored no goals. Those six matches may have been important from the point of view of fitness but playing six matches in succession where the result does not matter and players are concerned not to get injured must develop attitudes and habits which are unhelpful.
Clearly some teams manage well the abrupt transition from the friendlies to the serious stuff. Not for the first time, we did not. There must be a way of doing it. I don't know what it is, but the club needs to work on it.

I do hope Marti isn’t getting a bit “CandleFace” on the new signings position?

If we do get some more quality through the door (stress quality) then I hope excellent prospects like Alfie and Rayan are lined up for short term loans so they can develop

Marti sounds a bit bristley to me when asked about transfers over this week
Sure he’s professional enough to deal with not getting all his presents for his birthday and not leaving anything for Christmas

But he should do. Going forward that line up was painful. Two defensive minded central midfielders; full backs who looked like they were filling in, a rookie striker at this level fed next to nothing by an inexperienced / basic attacking three.

..and NOTHING on that bench that would change anything positively.

We remain 4 players short and miss Chair so very, very badly. Can't wait to see him hold on to the ball too much...

That first eleven goes down if we are stuck with it.

Thankfully we will not be.

Can we go out yet?

I called him out on it last month and as expected he denied it - Since he arrived until he kept us up, and then oh look he is the best thing since sliced bread

It could be said he doesn't know his arse from his elbow

God, what a smug tw*t you are. Like most people here, being a fanatics (i.e. sub-rational when it comes to QPR), I express different feelings at different times, but always, hopefully, within a seething plane of Stainrodian consistency. Concentrate on your own calls, and you may embarrass yourself less.

He looks like he’s standing at a reception desk…

If he were standing, wouldn't that make him a bit of a dwarf/little person/vertically challenged (delete according to political preference)?

Had a good chat with Ian in the Crown last night, QPR through and through, worth cutting some slack.

I'm not questioning his credentials as a fan, just as a journalist. I find his struggles to put a question together embarrassing.

It’s a great tactic. I think I’m right in saying the last manager to be poached from us was Jim Smith. So actually, if you begin every new reign saying you think the manager isn’t good enough, you are likely to be ‘proved’ right in the end. Its now at the stage where some fans say it from day one, so they can claim to be the ultimate soothsayer. Pretty tiresome, but whatever helps you achieve orgasm i guess.

"I think I’m right in saying the last manager to be poached from us was Jim Smith"

Ahem - Mick Beale!

Admittedly he couldn't have been more blatant if he'd been putting cards in Govan phone boxes promising "Cheeky Cockney will tickle your PowerPoints"

But they did pay to take him off our hands!

No slack needed. Ian is a QPR fan, good journalist and a very good to listen to on the WLS podcasts. Embarrassing post that...

Who?
I think I’ve blanked that name out of my brain 😂

Bare bones.

Jimmy Dunne’s goal last season usually does the trick for me.

Bloke does my head in, I can't watch or listen to him.

I wish someone would tell him to rewatch his videos and see how poor he is at asking a simple question or being remotely succinct. Said it before, and I'll say it again, he should write his questions down, and if they don't sound ridiculous, then read it as opposed to waffling on.

Speaking of which, I stumbled on a bloke called Hoopsa on YouTube. I'm not sure if he posts here, but he gets to the point, never repeats himself, doesn't waffle at all, and tells me in 10 minutes or less what needs knowing. Worth a watch.
