Not sure who controls the pricing, the club or Essex FA, but pretty disappointed they're so high for this kind of match.

Would have thought it was the Essex FA . Substantial rise in price, will now think twice about my attendance. Perhaps we have to contribute to the prawn sandwich brigade of the higher echelons of the FA and their attendance.

Possibly but it seems a bit steep to me regardless. I'm exactly the same, went on there to book my tickets and then saw it was £15 and now deciding whether to still go or not. Ha Ha! Probably.
Possibly the impact of the Taylor Review, post Hillsborough….
Stewarding, Policing and similar costs inevitably rise in line with higher gates, I don’t know the current ratios, but breaking through each headcount threshold makes such costs rise steeply. I once managed a charity cricket match where we deliberately had to cap the public attendance as breaking through into the next level was counter productive. The cost of mandatory extra match day support then exceeded the value of extra tickets sold, until an even higher threshold was reached.

Notice parking at the stadium for the previous rounds was free, now extra £7 on top of entrance fee.
Common sense has prevailed. A unnecessary fixture to fulfil with the present backlog of fixtures . Moving location also avoids the host venue also being one of the finalists.

Something strangely predicable about the outcome of tonight's match.
When the venue was switched l virtually had a premonition of a penalty shoot out and Colchester United being beaten.
As for the pitch situation at The Jobserve, Robbie Cowling refers to 'conspiracy theories' in relation to some people raising the issue of the development to the Eastern boundary.
Well, one can't help but notice a dramatic change in the landscape and l too did wonder if the building work may have affected drainage. Not a conspiracy theory, just an observation.
