Swansea City v Bristol City : Matchday Thread 2022/23 on 13:08 - Mar 19 by theloneranger | Well made goal, great finish by Cullen. |
Yes, good but if that goal was up the other end we’d be ripping into Fisher big time.

It was, thought we had been poor for first 20mins or so though and then picked it up, we should have had a second when Walsh broke, but it was a poor pass from him and not sure what happened with Ntcham in that move though,

It was my opinion, as was yours Mr Haynes, we passed the ball about 20/30 on the tunnel side of the pitch behind the halfway line, Grim and Wood must have passed it back and forth for most of those passes.

Before that a lovely Walsh corner that beat all the Bristol players and unfortunately all the Swans players as well. [Post edited 19 Mar 2023 13:48]

Swansea City v Bristol City : Matchday Thread 2022/23 on 14:25 - Mar 19 with 1540 views | Dr_Parnassus | Can’t have a bad word against this performance. Our problem is, he’s spent 2 years amassing players to play a certain system, so now we are left without any natural width, which does show itself. But can’t fault the 4-3-3 wide approach, possession with purpose, moved the ball quickly and got forward in numbers. Exactly how we should be playing, but just with more natural players in certain positions. Really pleased for Fish too keeping a clean sheet and shutting up some idiots. Not a bad performance out there, Ntcham was a class act and Cullen looked deadly. Well done to Russ - but he has to now take this forward and ditch his central 4-2-1-2-1 system. We CANNOT go back to the old ways like we have done time and time again previously.

Yes, a much better performance, played with real purpose. Still a bit slow passing to players in acres of space though, Piroe and Whittacker lost their defenders and nobody seemed to notice.

You can’t just leave your knee there waiting to be scraped. He enticed him into it. Manning lucky not to get a red. I’m half serious with this ref😠

Yes, I was pleased for Fisher as well. Didn’t have to do an awful lot but what he did do, he did it well. His weak spots are something that he’s going to have to work in and that includes coming for catches which he doesn’t do enough if. But that’s for another game, well played today.

Swansea City v Bristol City : Matchday Thread 2022/23 on 14:49 - Mar 19 with 1392 views | jojaca | Only saw second half because of night shift, nice to see a line up of attacking minded players and to see Ntcham on the pitch for 90 mins. You don't win football matches with 5 at the back with 3 defensive midfielders like some of our previous games. Keep Joel L away from the team and points will accumulate.

By playing the system we did today we had more bodies in the middle of the pitch, this put less of a strain on players like Ntcham who was my player of the match. The seeds of today have been there for the last two games. If we cut out the silly mistakes and we will be fine. Excellent win and hopefully we keep it up. Excellent support today and it was clearly appreciated by the players after the final whistle. I wonder what was said in the post match huddle.

Swansea City v Bristol City : Matchday Thread 2022/23 on 15:49 - Mar 19 with 1146 views | Dr_Winston | Pick a team containing attacking players and you get an attacking performance. Football is a simple game despite Russy's attempts to complicate everything. Ntcham is by some considerable distance the most creative, most naturally talented attacking midfield option we have, so obviously despite scoring and assisting more than any other central option he's largely been left on the bench lately. Fulton's suspension has forced Russy's hand there, but no doubt Jay will be on the bench next game whilst Grimes or Cundle continue to do not much of anything really. [Post edited 19 Mar 2023 15:54]

| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |
