This is exactly the type of player we need and should be pursuing. I doubt very much Thursday was the first time the club approached the player, but other targets have been missed, that is no secret and has been publicly stated by the manager. |  |

Once match fit this could really be the midfield signing we need. The key will be how long will that take. If he is going to be our box to box midfielder, which I hope he is, there is no hiding place when it comes to fitness.
