Colchester leading Crawley, so Colchester leapfrog Dale but send Crawley into the bottom two below us

It’d be awful if we started wasting time now.

They’re playing 4-4-2, getting it wide and getting crosses in as soon as they can. Their goal was almost inevitable by the sheer law of averages.

Excellent finish by Henderson and the balls behind their defence seem the best route to goal. Would have taken 1-1 at half time after ten minutes but it was annoying to concede so soon after scoring and should have aimed to get the ball into their half for a bit longer.

Got to make more of the extra man in midfield.

We'll never know if we'd have gone down that route.

Really poor goal to concede especially after we wasted a really good break between the two goals.

I'd take a point right now.

Is that Hendo level with 'BIG' Reg now?

Bloody funny watching him walk further and further away after his number went up. I think O’Donnell is still taking a goal kick now as well.

9.8 on the Wimbledon Timewasting Scale.

Second half we looked a bit better and going through midfield helped us gain a bit more control but they still looked far more dangerous. Don’t think we’ll defend as many crosses in the next month. A game lacking quality but a good point.

I wanted him to sit down. Alas, I’ll go to bed disappointed.

It’d be Thursday before we got to bed if a rule was brought in to stop the clock every time the ball wasn’t in play.

A point i'd have definitely taken beforehand, and other results were favourable to us, although Harrogate scoring a consolation goal in their 3-1 defeat kept them above us in the table

Didn't see the game, but EBJ changed things from Saturday and we got a result. It's probably easier to do away from home when the pressure isn't on to entertain

Henderson had his best game since returning to the club. That alone offers a real positive.

If he's finding his form again, EBJ will have to find a way to accommodate both him & Quigley (when fit)

442?

He did, he was a real nuisance to their defence all night.

We saw the end of the game out really well, after the poor goal that we conceded we were resilant with everything that they threw at us in the second half.

I did smile when we had a player booked for time wasting in injury time 😉.

After the disappointment of Saturday’s result I think this draw is as important for the morale of both supporters and the club as any result so far. A defeat could easily have set the belief back a good way. 4 Points taken against two teams in the top half in the last three games is encouraging me to say we could move further up the table in the next month.
This without Quigley and Campbell.
This is such a change from the first 6 games of the season when my expectation was the we would loose.
Quietly hopeful.

Would still use him as a sub for now, it was more that he illustrated he can still have a real impact when there was some doubt.

He’ll start again on Saturday, so ball is definitely in his court.
