CAUTION all Dale fans who were planning a trip to Rome on 2nd July, flying out of Manchester with Easyjet or Jet2.
THE BIG WEDDING MAY BE OFF!
Following Captain Sabotage's slip that he was "off to Rome for the big wedding Matthew Southall and Jade McManus realised that their big mouthed Birkenhead ally had given the game away and quickly took their website away from prying eyes.
Click the link now and you are asked for a relatively straightforward password if you want to see the information: https://www.thesouthallwedding.com/
Jade is VERY unhappy that her "SPECIAL DAY" is now in the public domain.
Jade is VERY unhappy at the thought of 250 Dale and Charlton fans dancing on the Spanish Steps chanting "Baldy's getting married in the morning?" will detract from the special day.
Jade is VERY unhappy that her wedding organiser is getting phone calls asking difficult questions like:
(a) Did Matthew actually get that decree nisi from Miss Elizabeth and is he legally free to marry? (b) When will the fees for the mystery venue be paid? (c) When will the fees of the wedding planner be paid? (d) Can Fat Pat have an en-suite? (e) Does Matthew need extra baggage for that hair transplant kit? (f) What time are the pictures at the Trevi fountain? (g) Can the first dance song be Rush - "I think I am going bald"?
The wedding planner is getting so annoyed with these daily phone calls that she is coming to the conclusion that Jade and Matthew might not be the successful, high profile couple that they have been portrayed as by themselves.
Thanks the the vigilance and screenshotting ability of Dale fans, the details are all known and out there. Names, emails, phone numbers - its all there and safely stored away for a rainy day.
The #UTDNFS campaign is, apparently, about to go international.
Altogether now:

THE ITALIAN JOB / Southall wedding may be called OFF by wedding organiser on 23:00 - Jun 10 by D_Alien
You'd think that the female gut instinct for these things would kick in - but then again, she's getting hitched to it.
Wouldn't be too sure about that DA.
Fat Pat is plotting a big suprise for Matthew and it might be:
Arriverderci, Roma It's time for us to part Save the wedding bells for my returning Keep my lover's arms outstretched and yearning Please be sure the flame of love keeps burning In her heart.
Fat Pat is hoping Jade will eventually get over the news of what Matthew been up to by going on Love Island in 2023!

Fat Pat says thank you to all who have dropped off trip monies at the Chippy.
To those of you who haven't paid yet, please get your money in by the end of the month.
Most flights out for the Southall/McManus jamboree start on either Thursday or Friday for a Saturday wedding.
If you are going from Manchester on Thursday 30th June, then get your proxy in for the EGM on the EFL's Mandatory Resolutions and it's TERMINAL ONE for either Easyjet (7.05 flight) or Jet2.com (7.15 flight).
In terms of once in the Eternal City:
* Charlton fans have requested the home end and given the issue that Southall and McManus caused them, that is only right. They'll be congregating in the hotels around the Piazza di Spagna and are wearing their red home kit, white shorts and red socks. As the song goes they'll be every ******* where....
* Dale fans have been asked to congregate around the Hotel Eden and the Ludovisi Palace Hotel although some guests are having to be put up in the slums of the Hotel Savoy, the Western Excelsior or Marriott Grand. Bit posh for us but then the bride and groom are getting a number of rooms thrown in for free - only right that any Dale fan who needs them uses them.
* A big Friday night dinner is planned. Top secret location. Details are as provided by Captain Sabotage.
* The Wedding is a late Saturday afternoon kickoff. Meetup details in the Whatsapp Group.
* The bride is planning to wear white (yes, Fat Pat laughed too). Be careful if you see or come into contact with the dress not to get a spot of dirt or paint on it. It is going in all those Insta snaps so needs to look all virginal. For those who love a good kit debate the 1991/92 Huddersfield Town kit is not the objective of the bride...but she loves a GOLA or two....
* There is a game of "Spot the Charlton / Dale legend" - given Southall's history in the football industry and a select number of football industry guests going, its going to be neck and neck. Lyle Taylor has sponsored a special gift for Southall. Some Dale legends have been very helpful with explaining arrangements to Fat Pat. HATS OFF to them.
* €50 to the first person who is photographed with Laurence Bassini.
* €100 to the first person who is photographed with any City fan who drives a digger.
* Guests are strongly encouraged to bring their own confetti. Apparently the bride loves brightly coloured sticky glitter. Anyone who has the foresight to have purchased at an advance hotel rate might have the ability to SPLASH out on a suitable present to shower the bride with that will go down quicker than one of Fat Pat's greasy chip barms. There is a good opportunity as the trip takes in the Trevi fountain to wash off anything sticky, especially for those wedding photographs.
* There is a bring your own water pistol competition going on during those photos at the Trevi Fountain. Double points to anyone who can hit the target from outside the box. Please watch Matthew's hair as it might wash away - you've heard of WASH and GO. His is WASHED AND GONE!
* A small party has managed, with the help of the brilliant wedding planner, to arrange to be inside the venue where vows are to be exchanged. It's completely secret and the wedding planner is not going to let on so as not to spoil the surprise for the happy couple.
* For those who like the soft strings of violins and harps - YOUR LUCK IS IN! If you were hoping for a bit of brass band though your luck is also in as Big Bob, Bad Bob and Big Bad Bob are all bringing their trumpets and trombones from the Covered End. "When the Southall's go marching in" is going to be renditioned at an appropriate point. The follow up rendition will be "The Great Escape"
It really is going to be a trip to remember. Certainly they say you never forget a good wedding. Fat Pat is going to cry with emotion and cry laughing.
And remember the song for our trip:

Now then, I've booked for Freda and myself and we are travelling out on Jet2. Isn't it a very early start!! I do need my beauty sleep these days. Freda wants to get a taxi from the airport but I do like trains. Reminds me of the old steam trains on the Bacup line.
Would you be so kind my luvvies to keep us updated as to where we are meeting. My friends from Charlton are meeting us at Hotel Scalinata on Saturday just before the pick up, about 3.30pm. If anyone wants to join us, you are more than welcome. Scalinata is opposite Hotel Hassler and I think young Matthew Lund may be there. Selfies?
We fly home on Monday so looking for ideas, trips etc for the Sunday.
I have a new hat and I haven't been as excited about a wedding since Kylie and Jason.

Never need an excuse to post this one, Marjorie.
I can’t wait for this trip. Fell in love with Rome when I visited in 2017 and have been looking to go back since. Absolutely wonderful place and you can’t beat a good wedding. Was about 43 degrees when I went so I’m hoping for slightly cooler temperatures and we don’t want the brides face melting on her big day.

I'm surprised by just how many Dale fans are making the trip. I know of 4 other Daleys going, not to mention their travelling companions. Add however many other Dale/Charlton fans there are, it's going to be quite the following to pass on our regards at this sizeable juncture in their lives.

I'd second this.
I'll admit I thought one or two from here might go, but it was mainly a bit of a laugh - bluff and bluster. Actually, the amount of people heading over that don't even post on here is unreal. There will be a fair few Daleys in Rome that weekend...'coupled with the Charlton fans it will be a party atmosphere for sure.
Better get packing the factor 50!

Whoever it was who suggested David Bottomley masks is a genius.

All done.
As I said - Genius!
I've seen the Charlton fans one too which is a Southall equivalent.
Let's hope that Jade can tell the difference amongst the Spanish Steps and Trevi fountain otherwise she might end up wed to a season ticket holder in the Alan Curbishley stand!
The Romans looking at lots of tourists in these masks are going to think that there is a hypotrichosis convention going on in the posh end of town.
They may be right!
