African Cup of Nations thread 22:07 - Jan 9 with 32866 views | queensparker | Watching the Cameroon Burkina Faso game and it reminds me of how the World Cup used to be, you might know one or two players but the rest are a mystery. Some real good players on show you’ve never heard of plus proper fouls. Burkina Faso look decent. And Technicolor kits. Looking forward to watching it - seeing Chair and Taarabt ripping it up for Morocco would be a great QPR moment, plus looks like Seny might get a game for Senegal. No idea who might win though [Post edited 9 Jan 2022 23:30]

African Cup of Nations thread on 18:00 - Jan 16 by wortonranger | Thought Ossie had a good game. This experience is doing him no harm at all. |
Yes, it was a torrid first half for him but he grew into the match in the second half. His positioning when defending was much better and he wasn't being caught wrong side of Zaha like he was in the first half. He also won a couple of freekicks in dangerous positions when Sierra Leone had possession. It should give him masses of confidence playing at that level.

Loved the way the bloke who scored nearly messed it up and then celebrated like he had scored goal of the tournament!

African Cup of Nations thread on 08:29 - Jan 18 with 2480 views | LowerloftLad | I don't watch the african nations but my mate sends the best clips of the day videos to me. The game ending on 85mins The keeper just happening to drop the ball. And now I believe the same keeper just happening to run away from the goal as the striker shoots. Joey Barton must have some connections out there. [Post edited 18 Jan 2022 8:36]

It is a shame particularly as he'd kept two clean sheets. Still, he was always behind Mendy in the pecking order and at least he got to play in this tournament which will look good on his CV.

African Cup of Nations thread on 17:45 - Jan 18 with 2067 views | Northernr | Bloody VAR might have just cost us an early Seny return there. Malawi awarded a penalty, which if scored could have left Senegal in third and sweating on qualification. Overturned on review (rightly it should be said)

African Cup of Nations thread on 18:53 - Jan 18 with 1896 views | derbyhoop | Mendy back from Covid break so Seny dropped to the bench. Sierra Leone (Kakay) probably need to beat Equatorial Guinea to qualify Chair's Morocco already through and Ilias get's the splinters out of his (ample) backside with a start against Gabon

I don’t think it was an injury but he didn’t look himself. Even during the national anthem he didn’t look well. Hope he’s ok.
African Cup of Nations thread on 19:43 - Jan 18 with 1646 views | dmm | Chair didn't look injured so I assume it was tactical. He hadn't been in the game but neither had other attacking Maroc players.
