Lessons could have been learned from the second half against Luton. He did say he only took Downes off because he was tired, but we were so much better playing one defensive mid in Grimes with a creator alongside him.

Yes, he’s not going to change so he’s got to make it work. Another 0-0 at snail pace at home playing in front of the opposition and reversing as first option will not cut the mustard.
And playing like that and losing would be unwise.
