Looks like Dawson could get his chance at WBA.

-----

"The feedback has been very positive," said the Albion chief.

"I'm not looking to loan him out.

"He's had his loan spell.

"We bought him and left him at the club.

"At the age of 21 he's had two and a half years where he's played matches week after week and he's probably got nigh on 100 games under his belt.

"I believe we signed him to be a player here.

"I don't think we signed him so we could help other clubs to have a player.

"I'm looking forward to working with him but I can't give an opinion of him yet as I didn't see him play at Rochdale.

"Of course, we have been monitoring him because he is our player.

"I have quite a few reports on him and the reports have all been very positive, and everyone I have spoken to thinks he has got a good career in front of him.

"It will be up to him now to make certain he shows me and the rest of the staff that those reports are correct."
