Four people died including 1 who was shot by police. At least 14 police were injured including 1 who was seriously injured after he as allegedly pulled in to a crowd and assaulted.

I am not ok with taking over areas of cities sing armed force or burning buildings down and rioting, people who do that should be locked up, but what happened yesterday is much much much worse, it’s a direct attack on democracy.

You can’t deflect as much as you want, but what happened yesterday was completely unacceptable.

That’s awful. But police being injured is unacceptable now? I can’t keep up. 10,000 officers were injured in the riots of the last year. 1 is too many and completely unacceptable, but nobody seemed to care about them until yesterday. This faux political shifting of morals is exhausting to keep up with.

It is no different to the political intimidation and attack on democracy we have seen for the last year. Democracy was not under threat by people protesting in a building where they shouldn’t be. It’s just the shoe is on the other foot and people don’t like it - as they shouldn’t.

Democracy is under threat by sustained attacks by democrats and the media on Republicans though. Again, the polls were wildly wrong because Republicans were intimidated and were not honest to pollsters. That’s telling.

The media of the last 4 years in tandem with far left groups attacking the country and its citizens is a bigger attack on Democracy than any protest at the Capitol was. The former actually changed election and electoral behaviour.

Police being injured has never ever been acceptable to me, where have I ever said attacking the police is acceptable? You are twisting things to suit your agenda.

What’s happened over the last 12 months is completely unacceptable, but what happened yesterday is in a different league, even world leaders are condemning it.if you want to talk about democracy u deer threat, what about Trump and his false news?

I’ve sai my price and am going to bed. Good night.

As usual its pointless arguing with him, he won't budge an inch, ever.

If anyone who's never seen this board before came and read this and took his ramblings as true, they would go away believing that everyone bar him and his mate has been encouraging and behind the activities of BLM and ANTIFA for the past 12 months.

The truth of course is anything but.

He will never see the difference between criminals looting stores and a mob invading the seat of democracy.

Just the same as he doesn't see the difference in an old lady identifying herself as the wife of her late husband and someone who pretends to be someone else.

Agenda? No agenda from me other than to show people are incredibly hypocritical. I have always called out criminality, others tend to do it selectively though.

What happened yesterday is in a different league yes, it’s McWhirter local league compared to what has happened the Premier League year of domestic terrorism. The moment I look at politicians of the world to deem shape my views is the moment I realise I have cognitive decline.

Ask the 10,000 police officers, their families, the dozens dead and their families, the thousands of home and business owners and their families, the millions of people who felt politically threatened last year, the inhabitants of Portland that saw their city get overtaken by left wing armed vigilantes unopposed what league they feel it is in for comparison.

Not buying a scrap of the faux outrage, it is entirely in keeping with what we have seen. Anyone who was quiet about the goings on of the last year have played their part. This is the political environment we now live in, it’s been accepted. It’s far too late to now claim the opposite.

Cheers AC.

Thinking rationally is the devil for Democrats. They are built on sensationalism, lies and deflection. They still to this day are peddling the “fine people” myth. Not sure how Biden repeating that at every opportunity is not seen as inciting racial hatred. You can be sure if Trump did it then it would be.

I just cannot abide this transparent and toxic political environment that thrives on double standards and selective morals. If people think they can do that unchecked without a massive dollop of reality from me then this forum is probably the wrong choice.

10,000 police officers injured, countless civilian casualties and I’m expected to believe those that stood by are now suddenly shocked?

This is about the president inciting violence, but you carry on with your whatabouts. Deflection.

Exposed.

Thing is I had some time for your opinion up until you questioned a certain column on Phil’s website regards Steve Cooper. You actually stated that the writer of the article was out of touch with swansea fans after his well versed piece on Coopers ability and strategic knowledge. Of course that was before today where if the season finished we would be a premier league club. This was four months ago. That writer three days later went on to take over this website, rip it from the jaws of obscurity and turn it in to a well respected swans website that we have today. Believe it or not itchy you can be as one eyed as you like, but sometimes you have to concede your alleged protagonist is sometimes actually right. No matter the country, politics or issue.

OK I've changed it.

Was it ever discussed? I have never seen either story and not aware of anything surrounding it.

I am talking about criminality fully discussed on this forum in depth with these people being active participants within the thread, if not the discussion itself. I have fully condemned the Proud Boys and other such organisations, I have called out police brutality and a whole host of criminal activity.

You are also guilty of the selective condemnation that many are sheepishly being coy about here. Hence why you are being defensive and making such silly points, I guess.

Oh yes, I brought up the boogaloo one to you and youe condemnation has used selective language when it was about any right wing group.

As to defensive that is you, once again, projecting.

What I am being guilty of is brevity of comment as I'm at the point where I am so disgusted by your ilk I'm in danger of being to forthright and getting banned.

Tonight it was this bit that irked me:
"I just cannot abide this transparent and toxic political environment that thrives on double standards and selective morals."

Nope, never heard it. You are thinking of someone else, don’t even know what they are. Maybe it was in one of your barrage of links I told you from the outset I was never going to read?

What do you mean “selective language”? Can you give me an example? Seems like one of those empty accusations that never get backed up to me. I have always condemned criminality regardless what side it is on. That’s what sensible people do.

How am I being defensive? Over what? I have nothing to be defensive over, I am the one that has been level headed throughout this whole past year where as you and your ilk have been rabidly partisan, linking to far left media and peddling lies and mistruths intentionally.

You can be irked until the cows come home. The facts are that you are your kind have happily said nothing while America has been terrorised by the left and now suddenly deciding it’s out of order when a riot happens from the other side.

Sorry but your hypocrisy won’t last long with me, I have a long memory. You will engage no more because you know you are on ground you cannot win. That’s what they all do.

Thanks for dropping by.

Totally agree with this, Biden democrats sat back and did nothing to prevent the Capitol Hill takeover and turning police stations in to squats, and funded bail, that’s beyond question.
I’m no political watcher of any type, I am and will always be an old school socialist, clear on my vision for working class people, but to describe the Capitol Hill events as ‘ protesters’ and the issues yesterday as an ‘unlawful mob’ raises eyebrows.

Even for me.

They’re blaming me in work for this!

We were talking about the closure of Ravenscraig a few nights ago and I was making the point that run-of-the-mill marches and protests never really achieve anything other than as a means of salving your conscience. What the Jocks should have done was break into The Scottish Office, put a dog leash on Ian Lang and dragged him up and down Calton Hill making him shout ‘I stabbed you all in the back, I’m sorry.’

Then the night after all this palaver was kicking off in Washington, they reckon Trump had bugged the mess room and was taking his lead from the Abbey Works Brain Trust!

An idea isn't responsible for those who believe in it.

I see his knuckle-dragging presence has brought over that other dumbo jack123 for a bit of moral support. Not long now until the delete button........"

"I know, he’s all “thanks mate”... hilarious, and Dimi is trying to politely ignore him whilst chucking him the odd bone just to keep him on side, just in case. Even funnier that Dimi is about to shit the bed now Eames is back, changed his tone completely. F*****g great on there at the mo, in a cringy kind of way."

"It was just a request not to allow this forum to slide in to the cesspit like the other one."

"Can’t we please keep this crap on the other forum please? I’m not one for censorship but it been really quite pleasant avoiding this stupidness by coming on here.

Phil, can you red up Cardiffjack and get him a transfer over there where he’d fit in better."
