A suggestion from Down Under about an Aussie Rules team. Saw it in the 80s and thought it hilarious, maybe time has or hasn’t been kind to it, but a good phish take on a sports club/money etc.

Southern Comfort was overshadowed by Deliverance.
Rise from your grave, thread!
Southern Comfort is the better film. Deliverance is good, don't get me wrong, but Southern Comfort is an all-time great.

Repo Man is my all-time favourite film. It's just so good.
Another super unknown great film is Dead Man's Curve (not to be confused with Dead Man's Shoes which I didn't rate as the acting all felt a bit Doctor Who/Channel 5 to me but whatever).
Here's the trailer.
But, f**k that, I NEVER WATCH TRAILERS.
Here's the whole thing.
Great story, amazing and mad performance by Matthew Lillard, decent soundtrack, superb ending.

Under the Skin. Scarlett Johansson as a flesh eating alien! What's not to like?! Seriously, really good film made by the director of Sexy Beast!
Ooh! I need to get onto that.

Repo Man is also my favourite film! Awesome soundtrack as well.
I became a bit obsessed with it at uni and recently picked it up again. It's not lost any of it's charm!

Saw this in the cinema. 4 people walked out after 10 mins, a further 8 after 30 mins.
I loved it. Truly great cinema, made better by a minuscule budget and a truly brilliantly dark sense of humour.
This is just a masterpiece. Style personified. This along with Raising Arizona, Fargo, Miller's Crossing and True Grit are some of the best cinema I've ever seen. Absolutely breathtaking brilliance.
Agree Fargo, excellent.

Most films are formulaic and incredibly predictable. Here are a few I've seen recently that aren't.
Men The Lighthouse Ventoux Triangle Of Sadness Evil Dead Rise A Dark Song Seven Stages To Achieve Eternal Bliss The Decline The Forgotten Battle Midsommar Get Duked! Beyond the infinite Two Minutes
I think all of them except the recent Evil Dead film are on either Prime or Netflix. Also i really liked Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosity on Netflix. Each episode is a standalone story so it doesn't matter what order you watch them in & you don't need to watch all of them. I especially liked episodes 1 2 3 4 7 & 8.
