Barcelona on 12:03 - Feb 21 with 2130 views | bosh67 | Absolutely bizarre signing. Something very odd going on with this. Good luck to the player but the amount of money he was sold for and everything is just investigation odd.

Barcelona on 12:25 - Feb 21 with 2091 views | ozranger | Loved the bit where he says.. "I'm not coming back to Middlesbrough. Pulis has a strange way to play football. It's really kick and rush." Ha, ha.. so true.
Barcelona on 13:09 - Feb 21 with 1999 views | distortR | read about this earlier. Barca had a transfer window to sort this out, instead they let promising forwards leave. And now they are allowed to probably relegate Legaanes, who have no right to reply. so wrong.
Barcelona on 13:37 - Feb 21 with 1933 views | CamberleyR | So what's the point of their B team? Just promote the full Japanese international striker they've got in that team for a few months if all he's going to do by the sounds of it is sit on the bench. Stories like this just make you hate the modern game just that little bit more.

Barcelona on 13:46 - Feb 21 with 1893 views | dennisbailey92 | You’d think Spurs would have a good case for signing an emergency forward if Barca’s reasons are the accepted level but can’t see that ever being allowed and rightly so, emergency keeper in extreme circumstances but multi billion operation failed planning is ridiculous

It is only allowed in the Spanish League. They were asked to drop this rule by UEFA but refused and nothing was done about it. It is there to protect the monopoly of the bigger clubs. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Barca's only option was to pay a release clause as no team in their right mind will be willing to negotiate to sell one of their players outside of a transfer window. The rule the Spanish fa have in place allowing teams to sign a player from within the league outside of transfer windows should a player suffer a season ending injury seriously needs rethinking.
Barcelona on 15:10 - Feb 21 with 1750 views | BrianMcCarthy | It's unfair, and biased towards the clubs with money. The only way it could be fair is if minimum fee release clauses were null and void outside the transfer windows, so that the decision would then be the selling club's. Even at that, the player could down tools and the club might be forced to sell anyway. I watch Barca a lot - they have sold some promising strikers of late. There was no need for this. Barca have lost a lot of what made them special in the last five or six years - signing racist Suarez, ignoring their youths, in-fighting at board level, rampant commercialism and a dwindling work-rate on and off the pitch. They're nearly as bad as Madrid now.

Barcelona on 13:32 - Feb 22 with 1451 views | Marc | It's funny how the league has a rule setup to protect those that fail to prepare for inevitable injuries, but doesn't have a rule setup to protect those that have their players poached as a result.
