What re-building ? Anybody of any worth is getting sold off and being replaced by frees and loans how is that considered a re-build, unless you think knocking down a house and building a shed is a re-build. Fire sale is more of an apt term. Please tell me one just one player that we have aquired that has improved us and loans dont count. We are a shadow of the team that BR took up a bleedin shadow.

We are still rebuilding regardless of your ranting.

What rebuilding?

Do you have any idea how many players are going to take the exit door come the summer?

The team BR took up is a much better team than the current one, but to be fair BR had a team which had been built and refined over a number of years by Martinez and Sousa.

All things considered, the current teams doing ok, but with a couple of players it could be so much better and a lot further up the table.

The promotion side was better in every position. We are never ready for promotion but a playoff place is possible. With this midfield that would be a victory. Still got my doubts about Cooper but we’ll know a lot more by next Xmas.

"Yossarian- the very sight of the name made him shudder. There were so many esses in it. It just had to be subversive" (Catch 22)

Yes but if you watch us on a regular basis I understand some of the concerns.

Yes, I can understand it is frustrating watching week after week with the same scenario being played out in front of you, whereas you and I sit there most weeks and have done for many years and watched some dire teams.

There are some people who have only seen the Swans in the post Martinez era and we are a long way from those teams, although Sousa and Monk played a very dry game.

We are going to be rebuilding for several years to get anywhere near the level we have been in the past.

Life is an adventure or nothing at all.

The truth is we are probably still at the demolition stage of a rebuilding process.

To use an earlier metaphor, we’ve probably only emptied the kitchen cupboards and taken the roof off so far.

My point still stands we are knocking down the house and building a shed. Next season we are going to have a very very poor squad full of kids and rejects, and there is no way Cooper has the ability to get a tune out of them.

We don't know what kind of squad we're going to have next season though do we?

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

We don't know, but it's a fairly reasonable assumption to make.

Do you understand why we are having to sell anything of value and replace them with lesser cost options and loans?

We bloody well do, it'll be one packed with quality, skill, guile and experience with more than a smattering of internationals in it. NOT...kids and freebies thats what it will contain.

Yes because the Yanks who said they could stand a relegation and who were going to take us to the next level are a bunch of lying çunts who have taken the cheap option once again in getting in a inexperienced manager who is looking out of his depth.

But we’ve been relegated so we need to build our house accordingly don’t we

Cooper is making it really hard for me to keep defending him.

The Pros:
- A very good start to the season
- A number of (loan) signings including a GK
- New coaching staff including set pieces coach
- Attracted youth signings with his contacts
- Good relationship with our best player in Ayew

The Cons:
- 26 points in 21 games
- Playing style slowly changing to direct football
- Players going backwards
- Appointing Grimes as captain
- Lack of use of subs (0 yesterday)
- Subs being used too late in games
- Lack of emotion from the sideline
- Lack of honesty in press conferences when it comes to our performances and playing style
- Playing players who are known to be carrying injuries

If there were better options out there which were within our budget, I'd be willing to see Cooper go. But there aren't.

No subs until the 76th minute, and it was a forced one. At least he tried Borja on for Bidwell for a last ditch effort to try snag a point.

I'd like to think he can improve the way he makes his subs, but it's common sense to send a fresh player on at about the 60 minute mark, especially if you've gone down 0-1. He isn't learning.

Still CooperIn though, for the reasons I've mentioned in the past.

Even more worrying is tatey as an option if he did go.

OK I've changed it.

Not sure, but if he is working towards them I bet if Cooper goes he will get a nod. That for me would be disastrous.
