No new players needed in the window 15:01 - Dec 6 with 6881 views | Private_Partz | Says Fer as there is enough talent in the squad. Potter agrees but it will not stop him having a decko. Has the charm offensive begun to justify another window of inactivity?

No new players needed in the window on 09:18 - Dec 7 with 1821 views | Catullus | The WOL said Shankland would be bought then loaned back didn't it? Anyone who thinks we are safe from relegation can think again. A lot depends on what happens in January, whether we stick with what we've got, buy or sell. If we sell and don't let Potter bring in what he needs things could get very sticky. If Potter gets to strengthen (assuming we can shift out the 4/5 big earners still here) we should be fine and may even look up the table. It's a big window for us.

Been saying the same over the last few days We have hit a slump recently because imo our squad isnt big enough and strong enough for the rigours of the championship We are only 8 pts from the relegation spots and week by week we are getting closer We cant afford to rely on the one striker, one experienced centre half and not playing the likes of dyer and routledge regularly so as you say if we dont get rid of the big earners and strengthen in january we could get sucked into a relegation battle which would be a damn shame as GP is a great manager who deserves better support

What if the other members of the huge consortium, the ones who may have bankrolled the buy out, are the puppet masters? Jase and Stevie boy may have 50/60 plus puppet masters. That's worrying from a fan's point of view.

Technically we're not getting closer "week by week". We've had one bad week but before that won 3 out of 4 (and the loss was the crazy Rotherham game). We didn't lose against Norwich and Derby because of squad depth, they were simply better than us. Norwich league leaders beating all-comers, Derby less consistent but capable against anyone on their day (beat West Brom 4-1 away from home). Disappointing, but not cause for relegation fears.
No new players needed in the window on 12:55 - Dec 7 with 1725 views | Badlands | The only areas that need strengthening are ones we've failed to address for three seasons. DCM capable of anchoring and organising the midfield. Left back - back up for Olson (DJ is IMO a joke) Striker - if Bony isn't ft or leaves allowing Keepers 2 decent with Benda a good emergency fall-back I prefer Mulder Left backs - Roberts and Naughton - both capable at this level. CBs MVDH, Rodon very good CCV & Harries decent stand ins, Left back - Olson very good, Lewis inexperienced and John (IMO joke) Midfield and Wingers IMO we are not playing to our strengths, but maybe developing younger players is the right thing to do even if it is frustrating this season. Midfield - Fer & Carrol should be doing better and I think could be doing better; Celina, Dhanda, Grimes. Byers. Fulton are inconsistent but can step in as back -up, Wingers - Narsingh, Dyer, Routledge, Montero, James are all good but senior players have been overlooked. Strikers - McBurnie frustrating, Bony coming back to fitness, CBR hasn't shown much in his cameos. Other under 23s who might be back up Gove - when his recovery if full should be knocking on first team door. Tyler Reid - could be pushing for some time with the senior but lack pace Adnan Maric - surprised he's not had more senior time but decent back - up Are these good enough for promotion? Not in my opinion but they are good enough to be fighting for a play off-place come the end of the season, if Potter uses them.

Celina is an AM though - what the fûck he's doing farting about on the edge of his own box when the keeper is playing out is anyone's guess. Specialist DM capable of protecting the centre-backs and dictating the pace (especially when inexplicably sitting on a one goal lead...) and another striker should be top priority. Sadly, Wilf looks finished.

I was in line with Celina when Potter gave him the instruction to fall back for the pass out. Mulder had been looking to kick long and was called to from management. Sometimes managers have to trust their players.

When Rangel made the mistake against United our first season in the Premier League, Rodgers took full responsibility saying that he wanted us to brave on the ball, mistakes happen when you’re trying to play this way and I’m sure Potter would say the same.

Him dropping deep to receive the ball every once in a while doesn't mean he's playing out of position. You can't advocate fluid passing football and also expect a 10 to stick to his position as if it's a fixed point on the pitch.

Wouldn't have thought we'd be priced out of this one, but you never know. Maybe a bit alarming that the old scouting links are apparently still in use. Or is a player we had on trial here 18 months ago the best Macaulay can find?

No problem with that, but from what’s effectively a goal kick I’d prefer our most creative player to be further up the pitch.

Too immobile and not sharp enough to read the game . I'd rather try Naughton there. Still Grimes for me.

Agree. If we are going to be playing out from the back, we need a ball player not a destroyer in that position. I’d go for Grimes as well.
