Aldi's tweets about the issue said something about them looking to accommodate if staff members have concerns about aspects of their job. I don't think age was an issue in this case, they'd have said if it was. And we wouldn't have the latest in a seemingly endless round of "it's Political Correctness GONE MAD!!" threads. |

It just seems strange that a Muslim won't sell Alcohol in the UK where it is legal to sell and buy alcohol yet I have been served Alcohol by Muslims in Muslims countries, Egypt and Maldives where it is supposed to be banned. |

From what I've seen, which is the original photo, it is a Somali lad with a notice saying he can't sell alcohol but no reason is stated. He appears to be under 18.
Unless aldi have said otherwise it has nothing to do with religion. |

Don't see a massive problem with that to be honest, on the assumption that its not part of his normal role there.
If he has taken the job, knowing that's a part of it and then 'expressed concern' he can do one. If he normally does something else and was covering the till, I think it's fair enough. | | | |

That could well be correct, but I originally saw it in a tweet to Tommy Robinson. The photo shows a young lad, if he had expressed concerns about alcohol then why not other haram products? Is all aldi meat halal and what about pork?
