What is stopping the Trust employing a Forensic Accountant? on 17:36 - Dec 23 with 5070 views | airedale | What's the difference between an accountant and a forensic accountant? My last accountant is the only person I have ever known, who uses all the ink in a Bic. Didn't miss a trick him.
What is stopping the Trust employing a Forensic Accountant? on 19:03 - Dec 23 with 5011 views | Uxbridge | Well Jacko is a forensic accountant by trade and has been involved with the Trust for some time, as have a couple of other accountants who have sight of the management accounts (which, after a recent wobble, has started to happen). Those discussions can get quite detailed. Stu Mac, our new SD is a qualified accountant. On the independent audit of the books, that happens annually as a matter of law.

What is stopping the Trust employing a Forensic Accountant? on 19:35 - Dec 23 with 4978 views | harryhpalmer | I recall the auditors resigned earlier in the season. Has anyone seen the reason they gave to Companies House, which they were legally obliged to? It's a very, very long time since I did my degree, but I recall that there were only a few reasons why an auditor would resign. 1. Lack of profitability for the auditor to keep doing the job - unlikely 2. Dissatisfaction with how the auditors personnel were being treated. I heard the new owners did their own internal audit after they acquired their shares. Maybe they were very critical of the job the auditors had done as a result? Pure speculation, obviously. But I can't think what else would give them reason, but it does seem unlikely. 3. A failure of the company they are auditing to manage risk properly - that would be very worrying if the reason! Any accountants that can suggest other reasons?

As I understand it, the Americans wanted to use the auditors they have previously used.

That's right, Noclue is indeed a forensic account, and no doubt a perfectly competent one too. But why have you on several occasions adamantly asserted that he was qualified to advise on corporate finance matters? For example, do you remember the time I estimated the value of the club at £100 million and he said that was rubbish and that the price paid to Mel Nurse was correct; you said that was right and that your mate Noclue was the only one qualified to opine. Remember that? Was it because you were lying, had Noclue been lying to you, or were you merely pulling this stuff out of your arse for a bit of a lark?

Oh Shaky mun. I'm not doing this at Christmas. Seriously. And no, I don't remember that as it didn't happen like that. Mels share price was agreed between the club and him. As I recall the argument there was attempting to argue that 5% stake could be sold for the same price pro rata on its own than if there's a full sale. The thing is I know who Jacko is. As you say, his skills and cv is verifiable. I know his name and his background. You? Not so much. If you would step in front of the curtain it'd be easier to judge your comments on their merits. That and not be abusive of course. Anyway it's Christmas and if you think I'm going to spend it on here arguing when I could be doing that with the family then I'm sorry to disappoint. Peace and goodwill to all men and women and all that.

Well some of that is true, but the fact remains you said Noclue was the only person quualified to opine on valuation. Which ever way you dress it up that is a lie, and I'd simply like to know who should take ownership of that particular porky -- enquiring minds want to know.

What is stopping the Trust employing a Forensic Accountant? on 10:20 - Dec 24 with 4778 views | NeiltheTaylor | Someone being a professional Forensic Accountant is not the same as a Forensic Audit being performed on the accounts. Are you saying that this has been undertaken and reported on by Jackinoco and nothing I has been found, Ux? I find that highly surprising. Are the audit results available to Trust members?

What is stopping the Trust employing a Forensic Accountant? on 10:34 - Dec 24 with 4766 views | NeiltheTaylor | My limited understanding of Forensic Accounting is that it takes court orders and a team of fairly expensive people including specialist software in order to really delve into all the transactions.
