Got to be kidding surely. We're on a fast track to the chanpionshiop if this is true along with the fact we have made no notable signings and let others go. What are we playing at??

There's no proble selling Ashley Williams as long as there's a good young replacement to come in as a long term replacement. If that is the case, fine. If not, we're fckd
Each time I go to Bedd - au........................

Heard good things about this Jordan Amart kid. Sign him up, Huw.
Why do people believe everything they read? Do people not learn from previous transfer windows? The Mirror don't know anything about the Swans and reported in 2014 that Williams was having a medical at QPR, likewise they reported that West Ham had agreed a £16 million fee with West Ham for Ayew which they've not and now it appears we've not even had a bid for Williams. If an 'ITK' on here had the same record as the Mirror for transfer targets then no one would believe a word they say as it would more than likely have been made up, and I don't see why people should treat the Mirror differently.
Yes was hell of a player if his wage demands are the same as 1981 the Yanks may go in for him and Jimmy Hazdiabjic.
Seem to recall Ray Kennedy came down here from Liverpool at that time on a mind boggling £800 per week (Yes EIGHT HUNDRED POUNDS) to be top wage earner and there was a lot of discontent amongst the fans then given his minimal number of appearances for us .....
Unfortunately his Parkinson's disease wasn't diagnosed till later but £40k A YEAR as top earner was deemed to be 'obscene' in those days !!!!
Go-Miss would have paid £800 in tax for a day and a half's 'work'.... 😂😂😂

Williams is more than just a centre back though, he's an excellent leader who knows our philosophy (our watered down one these days). That is so hard to replace. He probably even has a few decent years left in him as a player too.

He's not the only leader in this squad, just by far the most vocal.
Surely an Everton bid will only happen if stones moves to man city. Sounds like they may have been asking informal questions about ash being available in those circumstances. Mirror has heard about it and jumped in.
Could even have been leaked by an agent, who knows.
So in the last he on Twitter 'sources' have claimed Everyon haves bid £10m+ for Fonte and Bruno Martins Indi. Looks like Williams is part of a scattergun approach
i saw both, ante was a great great centre half, but times have changed, and i think ashley is immense where the pace of the game and the rules have changed to favour forward play, think ashley pips it for those reasons
Ante was the best player, in that position, in the top flight at that time imo. He edges it for me. However, if any CB gives us anything close to these two, in the future, we'll be ok.
