in that case, if we are paying him off just for him to walk into one of our competitors squads for free, we better be damn sure that hes properly crocked.

It's been obvious for a while that his exclusion is as much down to backroom grudges as it is his glass ankles. The best interests of the club would have been to include him in preseason and either wait for him to break (for insurance) or quit (and not have to pay him another penny). |  | | |

Any compromise agreement leading to contractual resolution would surely preclude any such eventuality as him playing in the premiership for the duration of his payment period. Otherwise Swans should be looking for new employment lawyers. |  |
