To get in the mood for this afternoon and the weekend.....
Roy Ayres you say, great bit of Xylophone on this
BTW good to see you on the main thread BrixtonR, rather than the techno one ha ha

LBLOCK/BRIXTON R the breakdown at 4mins 15 secs was from louis cypher himself.
as is the breakdown at 4mins 55 secs
and yay , i tarried awhile through brentwood seeking nourishment, and saw of joey essex.
i asked of joey essex ..'what is thy name?" and he sayeth unto me "my name is legion, for we are many",
he showeth unto me, the mark of the 'beast' ...... skin tight hipster jeans from fusey., his number one best seller and his 'club anthems'.
so i kicked the cnt in the teeth and ive never seen him again

Joey F***** Essex that absolute moronic cnt is a microcosm of everything wrong in society. One would hope that you ensured it was a particularly vicious kick in the teeth, you should have played him this Northen soul classic afterwards.....................
..........and then kicked him again

So I've just got off the phone to a good pal of mine after a long chat - first we reminisced about last Saturday and then slowly slowly slowly we went back over the highs and lows of the last 20 odd years with talk of World Cups. Italia 90 was where I ended up and Italian House which took me specifically a bar in Tennergrief in 91... I recall it was called The Crows Nest where I first heard this and then wandered somewhat unsteadily into Bananas and only 3 tunes in I heard it again.
Never did get a copy
Now there's another tune on UMM which I have in my head which I cant recall the name of but I can hear it and see the green label spinning on Deck A of the 1200s My next mission........
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Just imagine all these artist were releasing prolific amounts of tracks all at the same time from 1990 to 1996 - Mood 2 Swing, Marc Kinchen, Todd Terry, Steve Silk Hurley, Maurice Joshua, 95 North Production, Terry Hunter, Masters at Work, Blaze, Smack Productions, Ed the Red and Bottom Line Records, Larry Heard, Todd Edwards, Kerri Chandler, Dave Lee (Aka Joey Nergo), Burrell Brothers........ It actually happened.... these people actually dropped tunes that made House music so magical..
feck me i think im gonna get on it tonight

Parker --- I always say with these things (ie football, dance music etc) when people ask me "why?"..well its like this "you either know or you don't, you either get it or you don't and if you don't then don't waste my time trying to get me to explain it as you'll never understand"
You, Sir, most definitely "know"
I wish a good evening and a great weekend. I salute you.

I bow down to contributors here on this page. You boys have pulled on some proper proper tune-ige to prove that mine of gold has depths to go yet. It's as if PROMOTION and a trophy win at Wembley has brought about a second wind of renewed vigour
Reese Project had me reaching towards my head and thinking there could still be a thick mane of silky hair there but also no.... old school house still cuts it, the R's have a massive silver pot in the cabinet and I'm slowly working my way back to beer tolerance
