I detest Trump with a passion, but some things he is saying are true. Zelensky is indeed a dictator. He's had 3 years to make a deal with Russia , but hasn't and walked away from the last talks. It seems this is one page we are both very much on. Trump is using the war to virtually blackmail Ukraine into giving him more than the USA has supplied.
The USA has sent them approximately 135 billion since 2014 but Trump is trying to force them to sign a deal worth in excess of 500billion. Trump has been descibed as "transactionalist" but to me he is just another predator, he's preying on the weak and desperate. We cannot trust him, we should not trust him and anybody who supports him has to be looked on with suspicion. | | | |

USA is not the only show in town. UK has a number of huge mining firms that would welcome UK government support and will give Ukraine a much better deal than Trump presumably.
Glencore , BHP, Anglo American Rio Tinto all have the cash and knowledge.
Europe and UK need to get in there and compete. They should be offering decent terms not the insulting terms Trump has offered.
Europe needs to turn that $300 billion frozen Russian assets into weapons before any peace talks. Russia is out of troops and our of the tanks.
The tide may have turned with RF losing small amounts of ground in Proprosk and near Suzdja. The mighty Russian army has had Ukrainians on their oil van cannot shift them which is pretty pathetic. [Post edited 21 Feb 16:25]
