I know that paper writes a load of sht but fascinating to see it in action. I mean even Jonny from year seven would at least check his sources before printing a story in the school magazine.
Baffling how people actually call it a newspaper. Another reason to support Dave Mc and West London Sport as well as this site obviously (see my thread about supporting their Youthube channel) At least they actually print news...

They've done that cnty thing now where they've taken the story down. Few things wind me up more in my profession. You've taken a flyer on something, it's turned out not to be true, so you just take it down and remove it as if it never existed. How about double and triple checking it's right before you publish it in a national newspaper to begin with? And then live with your mistake if you make one, not just remove it, pretend it never happened, move onto the next. Scum paper. Any QPR fan still buying it needs to have a fcking word - AGAIN.

I believe that MW will want to stay here to finish the job he started a while ago.....get QPR playing proper football and get a 'heart' back into the Club. His team ethics are brilliant, he has got a squad together that all work for each other, he doesn't point fingers and they enjoy each others company on and off the field. A proper team which is together from top to bottom of the Club. He will not sign a player who is a 'big time Charlie' because he does not want the team ethos broken. Most teams must have good team spirit and I think that we have this with this squad of players.
You can never say never but I do not think that MW will want to throw all his and many others hard work away unless of course something 'big' or very interesting that he wants to do is on the table. Money will not be in the equation.
Next season, I have always felt that this season we were good enough for a top ten place, we now need to aim for a top six place next season - release a few players, sign a couple more players, further development of existing players, more understanding of the Team's tactics, etc and more consistency and we would get there.
If Warburton goes he goes Decent coach yes but a good manager not for me , no coincidence that as soon as Austin & SJ come through the door we start looking like a team Before that we couldn’t defend, we wasn’t vocal, we wouldn’t leave a foot in or play the dark arts Warburtons teams in his year and a bit before displayed none of these traits , we were easy to play against, teams look forward to playing us , now all of a sudden it’s changed ? the QPR team from August 2019 to January 2021 are night and day now
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Isn’t that similar to saying before Hill and Derry arrived we were no good? Perhaps he is building towards a team and 2 senior pros have taken us on to another level. Personally, if Warburton is allowed to keep the nucleus of this team and add a couple then we will be bale to judge him as a manager at the end of next season. I am though liking having the same manager and seeing him build something. It may work or it may not but I can see a plan in how we we play and improvement.

Oh go on then I'll bite.
Things don't magically improve overnight - the addition of the players in January has helped but nevertheless you have to give some credit to Warburton and the coaching staff for turning things around, let alone managing the fitness of the players so well through the crazy schedule.
We're up to eighth now if you haven't noticed. Given the players we lost last summer, it's quite some achievement.

No because we had Warnock as manager and you know what you get with him

We’re improving every season under Warburton. Look at our league position over the past few years. Player development. It’s not coincidence that the likes of Eze, Chair, Willock, Dieng, Dickie, Dykes etc all improving to the point that other clubs want or will want to sign them.
You’d have to be a bit of a simp to wave him out the door now. Fortunately I don’t see that happening any time soon.

Yeah I have noticed thanks All the clubs Warburton has been at have not displayed what we are seeing now Like I said good coach yes but IMO is not a good manager and I don’t think he has changed overnight Like I said in my earlier post, we are now diving, we are vocal , we are getting stuck in , none of that was a Warburton team trait so something has changed We were awful up until January, didn’t he want Glenn Murray as our front man ? Thank god TF did something right and got in Austin , Happy the club are climbing the table but if Warburton goes he goes , the club moves on
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot

In the Sun story it described that there was dispute over compensation for MW taking the FA job.
Can someone please explain what a 1 year rolling contract is that MW appears to hold with us ?
My understanding
it means if the club sack him he gets a year's salary. If he is poached we are due compensation as he would be in breach of contract, if he leaves without a year's notice, I think!

8th in the league on the 5th lowest budget and you don't think he's a good manager!
Since he's arrived we have played some of the best football since the Warnock season. He's developed players, developed a style of play ( mixed up when we have needed to), instilled a work ethic and pride back to the club
I know he isn't your hero Warnock ( have a look at the Boro forum at what they think of him BTW) but he deserves a hell of a lot credit for what he's achieved with us and to put it all down to SJ & CA is frankly ridiculous and petty

No I don't think he is a good manager , I think he is a decent coach not being petty i think some of the replies i will get to my opinion will be though this manager had conceded over a hundred goals up to January and that's just being in the job for over just a year , we were to nice, to easy to play against , we get in two senior pro's one of which would run through brick walls for the club and its all turned around completely not ridiculous to suggest that is it ?? if the club MO is to sell one or two players every summer and we finish above or around 16th then Warburton is our man and lets give him a ten year deal , take away SJ & Austin and we wouldn't be were we are and yeah i know it pains about 80% of this message board but Warnock was and is a hero In my eyes just like Warbs is to you

Where does he rank in the list of managers we’ve had since we went down in your opinion PP?

Some truth in what you say PP but being a good manager is managing your resources. Managing the four loan players into the squad as well as the team and facilitating a big improvement is demonstrating good management.
He now has 'tools in the box' that he didn't have before and he has shown that he can utilise them. Only one of the four started last night's match but two came on and helped to increase performance to get the win.
It is similar to Warnock and his recruitment and management of Hill, Derry, Mackie etc.
