Hoping to go to Eastleigh on Saturday if I can get over the Covid that I’ve had this week. Also considering going to more Sholing games too as it’s an easyish walk from mine.

Martin fighting for his job…

From what I can see Football Insider have hired a couple of z list goons with zero, in the know insight and peddle it for clickbait.

Everything they post seems to be utter shite.

No points deduction for Leicester
at 18:34 4 Sep 2024

I wouldn’t bother.

Whilst every other club has to sell players (often to the snakey six), Chelsea sold property to themselves. I can’t see how City won’t circumnavigate such pitiful standards.

Nice timing for Man City and their 115 charges that they are never going to be done for.

!!!!!!!!!! Russell Martin out !!!!!!!!!!!
at 07:09 3 Sep 2024

Dyche didn’t take over a squad that suited his style, in fact it was quite the opposite with a fair of number of gutless, workshy players eg Demari Grey. He scraped them to stay up in his season, Christ knows how. Last season, as others have said, they’d have finished 12th without the points deductions. This season they’ve started off poorly, for the third season in a row they’ve lost all the games in August. But despite the collapse on Sunday, the squad is much better than last season’s, and despite the negativity in the media, the fans are optimistic about finishing in a decent position especially with a number of players including Branthwaite to come back from injury.

When Everton lost to Saints a few years ago in El Sackio, the losers were always going to get Dyche and give themselves a good chance of staying up.

WTF happened to the place ?
at 08:08 2 Sep 2024

There are loads of great, progressive cities in the UK. I was in Manchester last weekend and it is brilliant, loads going on, a really vibrant city. Liverpool is the same. Leeds has had a fortune spent on it in recent years as has Birmingham, Cardiff and Bristol are also superb before you even start on London.

I’ve been here for 24 years and the city has barely made any progress especially in comparison to the cities mentioned. Lack of vision from the council? I don’t know but it’s grim.

You might end up with Dyche if the timing is right.

Broja to Ipswich

There’s no loan fee and Chelsea are paying all of his wages. There’s an option to buy at the end of the season.

So he’s basically on trial for a year. It’s a no lose situation for Everton. Everton have now got four centre forwards, DCL, Beto, Chermeti and Broja. And that’s probably the pecking order.

The draw was fixed - Totally corrupt.
at 07:36 29 Aug 2024

It’s disgusting, why the phuck did the other clubs agree to this?

They’ve got their way having more CL games meaning more revenue for the greedy scumbags and now they are rigging the draws of the domestic competitions, after binning off the replays in the cup.

Fans need to stand up to this.

Paddy Power paying out for Everton to be relegated is all part of their bantz marketing campaign. They are constantly posting about Everton, it gives them exposure in their disgusting business.

Eastleigh
at 08:14 26 Aug 2024

I went to the Solihull game and Maidenhead away (it’s more enjoyable than watching Everton, let’s be honest). They’re playing well, got decent strength on the bench and could be in for a good season.

Keeping hold of McCallum is key to them having a good season, he’s such a good player at that level. Davies has brought in some very good players so far, an extra striker in case McCallum or Quigley get injured, would make all the difference. I wonder what type of contract Charlie Austin has got at Totton?

Anyone spot Morgan Schneiderlin retired at the weekend.
at 20:53 19 Aug 2024

He started really well at Everton, in a decent team with Lukaku scoring shedloads and Everton finishing in the European places. The following season, they signed a load of number 10’s and no forward and were all over the show and he really suffered. Cue Koeman getting sacked, fat sam taking over and he went backwards.

He seemed to get back to form under Silva but then had time off when his dad died and then injuries took over and he drifted away.

Truss and the lettuce - justified?

I saw a clip of that, just before the lettuce was lowered, she was talking and seemed half pissed, talking inane nonsense.

Can’t wait for her tour to come round here, what an evenings entertainment.

Where Do You Think We Will Finish This Season
at 09:34 15 Aug 2024

Everton’s finances are in a mess but there’s no risk of them going into admin, just into more debt.

There was a Saints fan on five live earlier talking about their chances for this season, along with an Ipswich fan. Both seemed to think that points deductions could be a factor in them staying up.

How crap is modern football that it’s come to this. That’s not having a go at the Saints fan, just the bleak situation of all fans outside the snaky six. Meanwhile Chelsea are doing whatever they want.

If and it’s a big If, Everton get another deduction, it will only be for one or two points maximum. The club being up for sale is neither here nor there, it’s been up for sale for a few years now.

This is the trap that Luton had last season, constantly thinking they they will be kept up due to other clubs getting deductions whilst getting battered most weeks. All the while they were having their hair ruffled by a load of people on the media about how plucky and brave they were.

I can only assume that their moral compass is slightly out of touch and they think it’s okay to be a paedophile if you’re white British.

They named Jamie Bulgers killers once they had been tried and convicted.

This lad hasn’t been charged yet so they have to follow judicial process.

But in today’s society people feel that they have to be given information, whether true or false, instantly.
