There is a post on YouTube regarding a speech by George Galloway under the heading: Galloway goes "Glaziers Out" on the floor of Parliament.
I can't post it on here, I wonder if someone can as it makes for an interesting listen and we are mentioned on a couple of occasions.

Alister sadly passed away this morning after a long illness.
Lifelong Dale fan and Rochdale CC stalwart.
Could be seen in the main stand with his oxygen tank on many occasions.

Sadly passed away Sunday morning.
Anyone who lives around Cutgate/Edenfield Rd will know or have seen Kevin out walking his Westy dog every day. Kevin nearly always worn shorts in any weather.
Always had a word with everyone.
Regular in The Star and Turf Tavern.
I had the good fortune to work with Kevin during his time at Carcraft.
Great guy and will be sadly missed. RIP

Is it just me or is anyone else having a problem when scrolling down a page? It suddenly goes blank. It then shows "Recover Website"
This is not only on my laptop at home but on my Ipad when I am out and about.

Thread | Edenfield Road road works again

What is wrong with Edenfield Road? forever digging it up and always in the same place near The Star Inn.
The traffic is horrendous in the morning and evening rush hour.
Last time was only 2 weeks ago, and it is less than 2 years ago it was all resurfaced.
We don't even get any warning, they just arrive with the temporary traffic lights and off they go.
Does anyone else on here have to suffer the hold up our is it just me?.......frustrating!! especially if you have just come off the motorway and all the crap on there. |

According to BBC Radio Manchester today, Steve Cotterill and Neil Adkins are the 2 final names for the Managers job.
Saying announcement will be made later this week or early next.
Although they did say on Monday morning decision would be announced within 48 hours.....been and gone!

Thread | Not football related. Rochdale Observer Bowling Comp. Finals night.

It's finals night at Norden Bowling club, Trinity Street on Saturday 27th June at 5pm.
Much effort as gone into reviving this prestigious competition by a few dedicated individuals. The comp as been in the wilderness for a few years now.
It is in memory of the late John Eccles, one of the towns finest crown green bowlers who went on to win the Waterloo handicap but sadly died of cancer.
The event as been run over 4 nights this week reaching 8 qualifiers (all local bowlers) to play down to a winner on Saturday.
This is also a charity event for 3 fantastic charities: McMillan nurses, Springhill hospice and The Christie. Your support would be most welcome.
If you have any interest in bowling or not this should be a great evenings entertainment for a quid entrance fee.
Refreshments are available and the bar will be open. Weather forecast also looks good !!
Do your best and come along.
