Definitely winnable, which is all that matters at this stage. |

Up there with Paul Cook for sounding like different people, a strange mix of Geordie and “southern” |

Did the business in the first half. Saw it through in the second half. Arguably, second half was more impressive than the first. We controlled the game and the substitutions and tactics were spot on. Haven’t seen us do this for quite a while, possibly since the Keith days. Up to 3rd, best start in 9 years, 2 goals conceded, no “money bags runaway with it” teams in the division this year (unless that’s us!)… could it be? [Post edited 7 Sep 19:30]

Made Aldershot look very ordinary. They couldn’t cope with our right hand side. Suspect the second half will be very different - but an early goal should see them off! Come on dale! |

Shame but we can’t compete with League 1. Their scouts really must have taken some notes at our games last year. Wonder who is next?! |

If so, remarkable piece of business since getting a fee for gorgeous George Donnelly. |

Funny old game, thought he’d see out his days with us and potentially end up on the coaching staff following a similar path to Keith, BBM and Jim. That being said, thought we’d have no chance of keeping Rodney. Heart is gutted he’s gone, head says it’s not a bad thing. [Post edited 29 Jun 13:06]

Interesting one this. I’m pretty sure historically we’ve always spent nothing / a relatively small amount on agents fees, could be wrong. A sign of the times and a necessary evil in football these days… or just another example of poor management on the football side? |

Doesn’t paint our former manager in a great light! |

Fella is having a meltdown on Twitter. Someone has really wound him up. |

One thing that annoyed me was how we didn’t really take advantage of how high they were playing up the pitch Several times we won the ball on the halfway line and just looked clueless about breaking at speed. |

I guess they'd put us, Oldham, York, Halifax, Altrincham and Fylde in the same bucket. This boxing day / New Years Day reverse is one of the few 'perks' of being in the conference. |

I had the unfortunate situation of being seated near to Mr Jamie Pilley when we beat Fleetwood 3-1 (?) at their place about 10 years ago. Not a pleasant experience and thankfully his daddy calmed the situation after he took great offense to fairly mild celebrating as we went 2-0 quite quickly at the start of the game. Granted he may have grown up somewhat, but gave off the aura of a spoilt little rich kid with not many brains, and a bit of a nasty piece of work. [Post edited 25 May 2023 23:32]

Of course she's gutted, just as Danny Lloyd is, it's the way in football! They've just advertised her job on the official website. Both will be going on to bigger and better things £££, but 'gutted' to be leaving us. |

I very strongly doubt that we have 'cut costs' by dispensing with the 1st team physio! Would more suspect she's got herself a better move elsewhere, which you can't begrudge the girl for. |

Great to see that we’ve actually moved with a bit of pace for once on this. Interesting that the GOAT looks like he is staying, happy about this. As much as I’d love Lloyd to stay, I hope we are being sensible as we’ve been stung so many times with injury prone players who have shown they are decent. I’d keep Jimmy K, solid and versatile. Not sure about Kelly, flatters to decieve and I’m not sure how he’ll get on in the conference. I really hope we weren’t stupid enough to sign players without wage drops should we have gone down. |

Of course we can choose to get rid of someone - it’ll just cost us, unless there’s evidence of him not performing. Does anyone have any evidence of how well the job our Chief Exec is doing?! I’m not sure on the structure of the club and who makes the decisions, but I have a feeling GD’s role is somewhat different to his predecessors… |
