Whilst I know what you mean by 'had enough of it' .. I do love the Play Off weekend (especially if one result goes our way!) |

And in the meantime what do people who want to watch football at Bloomfield Road do? If we accept the status quo we have another couple of seasons of internecine warfare to look forward to as the club spirals down to the conference. Do you really think more pitch invasions will harm the Oystons more than the supporters? Has our situation improved since tennis-ball gate? Are potential managers and players going to be queuing up to enter a war zone? I think that many of next seasons season ticket holders would rather see an end to current hostilities and would be ready to try anything - even dialogue with the evil Oystons - than to do nothing to try to mend the situation. If they don't then the parliament won't get off the ground. Whilst current hostilities may have general support, if you gave fans the option of hostilities and pitch invasions or good football and a winning mentality when they go to Bloomfield Road, I doubt if the man on the mobility scooter would have much support. |
| Forum Reply | Any theories on how we could have avoided going down? at 17:46 23 May 2015
We'll remind you of that comment tomorrow night Giro! How we could have avoided the drop? To my mind the simple answer is that in January we just lost the games we needed to get something from at home .. at Bloomfield Road we lost to Birmingham, Sunderland, West Ham and Wigan - four games where had we have just drawn them we would have comfortably stayed up. |

Wonder if the Tangerine Knights are planning their next demo in the middle of the M6 at Junction 29 on Sunday morning .. now that could be interesting with a few hundred coaches trying to get to Wembley! Of course if they don't succeed on Sunday it's well worth a little trip up the M6 on Sunday night to see what signs and placards those with a wicked sense of humour have planned for the coaches return! |

Seasider81 - BHS is the ugliest forum of them all - way too many words and profiles and quotes and God knows what else, I tried it when it first started but it's way over-complicated for me. The old AVFTT is dominated by a clique these days and is undoubtedly to the detriment of the forum. This one does a job (when Osbourne isn't on) and has some good discussions but not many laughs. As Seasider81 says Twitter is my main Port of Call these days and read the forums when I have a bit more time and tend to skip through them all. Sad to say but with a dwindling fan base I do wonder if we can sustain 3/4 forums. |
| Forum Thread | How do Scottish Play Offs work? at 19:25 17 May 2015
Just reading that Rangers have reached the Semi Final of the Scottish Premiership Play Offs beating Queen of the South but now go on to play Hibs. Does that mean the winner of that game doesn't get to the Prem? |
| Forum Reply | Looks like Cubero is gone as well at 19:23 17 May 2015
Had Cubero played with the team that Riga wanted to assemble then he could have been a jewel in the crown - alongside some of the team he ended up with he may as well have got his deckchair out and topped up his tan. End of the day we didn't even bother with a striker for most of the games he did play! |
| Forum Reply | Robbie, how do you see the endgame playing out on this debacle? at 13:09 15 May 2015
Just on this one, I can't help but feel that the Oyston's have intertwined so many of the clubs business interests with their own it's difficult to see how you could separate them all. For that reason, any sale or transfer of power would be a long and complex one which could last years and so my thoughts are may as well get behind the team now and hope the club survives to tell the tale later. |
| Forum Thread | Will Karl back one of the old boys? at 13:06 15 May 2015
Seems there's a few of them around - obviously Ollie and then Mellon, Morrell, Ormerod, Sinclair, Grayson (who might be free after next weekend) - would someone who at least has an affinity with the club be a good choice for Karl? Brett Ormerod who left the club three years ago, has been linked with a return to Pool as a coach working alongside Ian Holloway. Ormerod, who played under Holloway for three seasons at Pool, believes his former boss could be the man to reverse the club’s fortunes, though he also recommends Tamworth manager Andy Morrell. |
