I’d argue he’s quite a big part of the reason we were abysmal playing that way. |

Morning all. I’ve managed to engineer myself a meeting and overnight in York the night of the Hull game (lucky me). Trains back to York mean leaving early or a long wait. Any chance someone is driving back that way I could jump in with (will chip in for petrol of course). |

Hopefully Edwards is given another few months to get it right after such torrid luck. |

I get that we absolutely have to have a televised fixture occasionally but 8pm is a right ballache. 7:30 or even 7:45 makes trains home far easier. |

Will need a bit longer than that to see our glorious penalty win. |

FA Cup fifth round that weekend I believe. Obviously no chance of us being involved but they could be or we get moved at the last minute to accommodate Chelsea being at home or something. |

We’ll be in prime ‘get on the 100/1 for top six while you can’ bandwagon if we win on Monday (we won’t of course). |

Well before. Classic Championship refereeing trick of realising you’ve given a corner wrongly so give a cheap free kick. |

Ideal opponent for him. Flat track bullies who didn’t like it up ‘em and nearly as slow. A lot to be said for a forward who can do the ugly stuff well and get the fancier players into the game higher up the pitch. I like Kolli but he’s not really a lone striker if he’s a striker at all. |

After head to head… - away goals - ‘penalty points’ for yellows and reds - straight red cards If all these are still even then it goes to a playoff. I quite like the idea of us and Preston having a one-off match at a neutral stadium to settle the matter of who finishes 15th but I guess they only bother if it means something. |

Some nice areas around it but it’s always been a bit of a dump IMO. A more expensive dump than when I grew up there. |

I wouldn’t read much into it but the Twitter yoof say he put out some Insta messages to suggest otherwise. |

Did anyone else see the bloke on Uxbridge Road at about 11:15 let off a yellow flare about 20 yards from a police van and get nicked? Old enough by a couple of decades to know better. |

As much as I like the idea of sending Santos to some old mining town and him coming back three stone heavier smoking 30 a day and killing wingers for a laugh I can’t see it. At best we might be able to send him back where he came from. |

It’s very unlike what I imagined Cleverley would build there and I watch them quite a bit. The goalkeeper gets pelters from the fanbase and is clearly not up to it. When Louza plays he adds some bollocks to their midfield but they’re sorely lacking in leadership. They’ve got two of the best attacking players in the league in Baah and Chakvetadze (did sod all today, mind) and then behind them you’ve got Sissoko strolling through the game, full-backs who find defending a bit beneath them and centre-halves slower than rust. I fancied us as soon as it started raining to be honest and having brunch with a Watford mate we agreed it was a likely outcome when the teams were announced. Won a few quid to top off the day. |
