Would be surprised if there was any truth in that, and to be honest not sure that is a fair crack of the whip. Cannot imagine for one minute Sports Republic giving the guy a contract extension (when it was nuts to in the first place (but that’s another matter)) and then a couple of months later consider giving him the bullet. Mind you, perhaps they really did think another club like Plymouth Argyle might come in for him [Post edited 4 Sep 17:02]

100% Never thought I would say this about our own, but we have some right gimps following us these days. What makes it worst, they seem to put themselves on a higher pedestal than those of us that have been around a bit longer. I seriously had no idea wtf was being discussed when I saw the acronym xG [Post edited 3 Sep 18:21]

There is one fairly crucial term that could be applied to the ‘passing’ philosophy and that is ‘forward’. Not against the passing game per se, but surely we should endeavour to be going towards the oppo goal and not our own. RM now has s reasonable period to bed the newbies in and think about his rigidness to the system. If certain staff continue to be shoehorned into the side against United / Ipswich / Bournemouth then that will tell us all we need to know. He (RM) deserves a fair crack at it but I definately would not be upset if he were to be released as it’s not just the losing, it’s the manner we are losing games. |

The Influencers love him and I cannot see the board pulling the trigger this side of Christmas. Gonna be more of the same for a while me thinks |

Well, one argument for maintaining his services must be that the team spirit appears to be excellent. Flip side to this however is that it’s not ideal when the manager is ‘mates’ with players. Now only my opinion, but I reckon a manager who takes things by the scruff of the neck and doesn’t play this stupid possession based football would give us a better chance of gaining some points. Possession still above 63% which is not to be sniffed at. The Noddy’s / Social Media influencers love him and the club extended his contract. He won’t be goin’ anywhere, anytime soon. |

Knows what direction the oppositions goal is in and i personally feel he is an improvement on some with a bit more end product. More than happy to see him here [Post edited 30 Aug 22:25]

Thank goodness for that as it was getting a bit repetitive reading daily about the need for a keeper like we all didn’t know. On a serious note though, well done all concerned in getting him in. #Techers #WeMarchOn #Baller [Post edited 30 Aug 13:36]

Can just see it now, everyone strutting about with daft haircuts, flares being set off during Cigarettes and Alcohol with the majority filming the whole thing to post / prove their attendance on Social Media. Would find it hilarious if (as a pre-requisite to procure tickets) mobiles were banned from these gigs altogether. |

Gutted I never caught U2 on the Zooropa tour. What a spectacle and show. The one downside of U2 however is Bono going off on one preaching. |
| Forum Reply | Oasis Reform at 19:30 27 Aug 2024
Agreed; for me you cannot compare the two. Even if we go up to the point where I tailed of buying U2’s albums, that was still up to Zooropa which was 8 albums in. Always great to see U2 and would spend good cash for that, but Oasis ain’t on that stratosphere for me personally. Horses for courses I suppose [Post edited 27 Aug 19:31]

Good stuff. So basically Everton and Leicester are relegated so that basis we just need to win a couple of six pointers against some of the other relegation candidates - could start with Forest then hey……oh wait…… I will back the team for sure (and certainly didn’t boo them the other day), but for me there is a little bit more to it than survival. To be honest, I don’t give two shïts if we stay up or not however, I do like to be entertained and not have to wait until nearly the end of the first half to see a shot on target. |

There can only be one ‘Pound for Pound Best Manager in European Football’ so sadly Mr Martin needs to accept that. #TrustTheProcess |

Sums things up nicely. A different manager and tactics I feel (appreciate only my opinion) might just make things a bit more bearable. I always remember Hoddle coming and and getting us to play some decent football with a bunch of players that might not have been the best. |

What difference is a £50 million pound striker gonna make when we spend most of the game pïssing around with the ball at the back? |
