| Forum Thread | £2 Million Budget at 18:22 10 May 2015
Don't know if someone is stirring up nonsense on another forum, but here is there post. Bearing in mind that Bristol City spent over £11 million this season to get themselves out of League One (and sent their players to Miami to celebrate), if there is any truth in this and our budget for next season is only £2 million (whilst a £30 million surplus - and the rest - sits in the bank) then doesn't it go to show again that Karl has no grasp of football economics. However, similarly wouldn't it be refreshing for the Chairman to come out, explain why Lee Clark left, what the budget will be for a prospective manager and put to bed all the rumours that have surfaced since yesterday. Post below: I don't want to get people's backs up, but I work in the press and I have known the Oyston's for a couple of years and actually get on very well with one of them. There is long term vision from the owners for this club but the fans are living in a dream world. Karl wants to develop a 2m squad budget for next season to try and be competitive and if season tickets don't sell, he will be forced to sponsor the club himself to generate enough to meet the financial regulations needed. The fans wont give him a chance to prove this but the actions of the fans will help nothing. But he wont be going anywhere and has broken no rules of the FA so I suggest the fans try getting behind the club, even if they dislike the owners. I never post on your forum, but I did speak to Mr Oyston for an interview regarding Lee Clark's parting and he said it was Lee's choice, he had a set of demands for next season which were simply not realistic and offered his resignation if they weren't met, so his resignation was accepted. He openly told me he has approached no one regarding the job, and he is to consult with a couple of contacts next week about who could be ideal to come in and take control of the team in a way that is controlled and profitable. I asked him outright, would Ian Holloway be considered, to which his response was, he would discuss names but he wants to employ the right person. So those who are posting saying there have been talks with Holloway, you have either been misinformed or trying to gain attention for yourself, he has not approached the club and the club have not approached him. I do not support Blackpool, but I do like the club and wish them all the success in the world next season. |

The sooner the Albino Dwarf goes the better! He wouldn't be good enough for the Unbind League let alone the Championship. If you look at who has played the most games for us this season it is no surprise we are where we are! |

Did he ever sign? Best of the youth players in my opinion but have heard he wants away in the summer (Brighton being spoken of). |

| Forum Thread | Are we divided or United as a fan base? at 06:22 7 Apr 2015
Have been disappointed the last 24 hours as to how much fans have turned on each other. Why do we think that some fans have this mentality whereas they turn on each other before they question what the real perpatraitors have done? |

Glad to see he's enjoying his time at Blackpool - definitely one to look at! |
| Forum Thread | Too Late but we look better than we did at 17:21 4 Apr 2015
Just looking at the side today it does look better than what we've had for much of the season. Not saying we'd have stayed up but Clark is currently working with only one striker (Telford was never the answer) and that's why we're not closing games out. Other than Forest which was just a freak, we've not take our chances when we have had them. We've never got the defence right and are operating without a right back and so to keep it down to one when you've got the likes of Heskey and Le Fondre on the pitch is a positive. Today should be looked at as another friendly game where the result is largely unimportant. 17 shots on goal albeit 3 on target is better than most home games and we almost had 50/50 possession. Just be interesting to see if we can keep hold of some of these players who are making us look a bit better at the end of the season. |
| Forum Thread | Sharing a training ground at 17:52 3 Apr 2015
Always wondered why we don't share a training ground with other clubs in the North West. Notice that Bury are now using United's old Carrington Road complex. Any reason why we couldn't share with Fleetwood if they're building all these fantastic facilities? Be shameful but at least we'd be able to offer more than we can at the moment because of the O's inadequacies. |
| Forum Thread | All or Nothing - anyone want us to lose every game? at 16:13 26 Feb 2015
Only way for me to get rid of Clark, get rid of all the deadwood and give someone else a shot - this season has been poisoned and everyone who has been part of it should go (sadly the main protagonists will have to stay behind and clear up the mess). |

Please tell me Tony Parr hasn't been relieved of his duties again for his 'who scored, who cares' comment on Tuesday. I can't take another afternoon of Mr Shouty Man again! |
| Forum Thread | The O's meeting VB next week? at 13:41 1 Feb 2015
Anyone else hear this rumour yesterday - don't know if it's to do with VB's shares in the club or a potential takeover but one or two were talking about it at the BST meeting. |

Norwich v Brentford Watford v Blackpool Wigan v Huddersfield Wolves v Charlton Although Leeds play Bournemouth midweek - if Huddersfield can do us a favour and we can get a coupon buster (as unlikely as that is) then the table would make interesting reading going in to the Brighton game. |
