Speaking of Hartlepool and bad starts...The "Jamie Taylor match" sticks in my mind, as Hartlepool had a terrible start to that season also (95'96) didn't score in the first 4 games including the 4 - 0 reverse at Dale - which was the 4th game in their scoreless run.

Think you may be confused about how this bet works. All teams have their handicap points added to the final points total, not just the team you bet on. So last season 100pts was the wining total. See final table below

But, as geography buff I can't let this slide...the Sahara (which is the Arabic word for desert) is the 2nd largest desert on earth, the continent of Antarctica being the biggest.
Especially when you take into account (as Lama mentioned) our Boards new year statement. Seems to me; despite being in L2, we're in good health financially, and with the recent share issue, we're now a majority fan owned club.
