| Forum Thread | Saving money… at 13:57 7 Jan 2024
Having a chat with a few of the lads at HT yesterday & the subject of the Willbutts stand came up. It was open yesterday for less than 200 Kidderminster fans. Surely they could have been accommodated in the end block of the Pearl st? For next season a couple of ideas were floated- 1- close the Pearl st completely next season. Existing season ticket holders could transfer into the main stand for a 1 season discounted price or obviously transfer to the Sandy if they wished. Make the Willbutts half home / half away with pay on the day only for home fans so the stand could be altered if there was a large away following 2- close the Willbutts completely & have a similar arrangement as above put in place for the Pearl st stand. Basically the consensus was that with our crowds & away followings in this league 4 stands open just isn’t necessary (unless playing the Biffos of course). Thoughts? |

No sign as yet… Hartlepool put their prices out earlier this week. Can’t post a link, if anyone more tech savvy than me (not difficult) can manage it? |

And not just the potential takeover shenanigans. Lionel Messi is to leave Barcelona as they’ve got to cut costs & can’t afford his wages. Come on messrs Curran & Rose, put your “money” where your mouth is… As an aside, has he ever played left back? |

| Forum Thread | EFL transfer embargo at 14:45 15 Nov 2020
The Mail reports that “several” clubs in the EFL have been placed under a transfer embargo. Clubs that have taken out a bridging loan from the EFL will not be allowed to sign players until the loans have been repaid. No details of which clubs are affected but the number of clubs involved is “less than 10”. |
| Forum Thread | £250 million bailout at 16:52 11 Oct 2020
BBC sport reports prem league proposals for potential financial bailout with strings attached. Don’t think it’ll affect Dale too much but can see some prem & championship clubs being extremely unhappy. Sorry can’t post a link if anyone else is able to? |

Don’t plan that trip to the local just yet. Sky news reporting that Rochdale is in the top 4 areas in England for coronavirus cases due to a spike in infections (numbers infected per 100000 people). Top 4- Leicester (already locked down), Bradford, Barnsley & us. Govt actively considering local lockdown measures unless there’s an improvement. Aaargh!!! [Post edited 1 Jul 2020 14:09]

| Forum Thread | Season ticket prices 20/21 at 12:35 19 Dec 2019
Moving in a bit from the Newcastle tickets thread, just a few thoughts on next season’s season ticket & pay on the day prices. My suggestions on S/T prices would be- Sandy £230 (£10 a game) kids £80. POTD £15 adults £8 kids. Pearl st £275 (around £12 a game) kids £100. POTD £18 adults £10 kids. Main stand £320 (around £14 a game) kids £120. POTD £22 adults £12 kids. Away fans £22 adults £12 kids. If the club can emphasise the savings rather than their current “take it or leave it” stance then I think they could sell this, ive always been a bit sceptical about early bird deals but that’s just my opinion. Needless to say I’m not in favour of categorising games. The reason I’ve made POTD prices cheaper than they are currently is that the season ticket uptake has been excellent the last 2-3 seasons but POTD seems to have been poor, obviously partly due to on field performance but also match day prices putting would be fans off. |

EFL- Bury will NOT be re admitted back into the football league next season. Edit- Oops, apparently there’s an existing thread relating to this former club. Carried away, apologies...😬 [Post edited 26 Sep 2019 15:13]

Just a thought to try to drum up a bit of support after the Utd game. How about the club does a special offer for 1 home game for fans that went to OT? Non season ticket holders could get into a home game for say £10 adults & £5 kids/OAP’s, Pay on the gate if they show their tkt stub from the United game. We play Wycombe on sat 28 sept or could do it for the Accrington or MK Dons game in Oct, games that traditionally don’t have many away fans. It would be a thank you for supporters & could hopefully bring in a few fans who wouldn’t have gone to these fixtures. Any thoughts? |
