The game that sticks in my memory, and my craw, was Southampton 1 Leicester City 9. Tipping it with rain and a cold wind to boot. After 30 mins, the supporters around me had largely cleared off, so it made everything more dreary still.
One of the reasons I stayed to the end was I thought I might see PL history made. đ |

Why would players or agents sue over false information on the social media? In order to prove it is false, they would have to prove it was false, with a correct figure. |

I think that is a good article Nick. I donât think anyone would disagree that we need to move through the gears more quickly, and at times last season we showed that we could do that. It is up to the manager to get the team to stop the aimless tippy tappy, a la McGuire and Co, and have some more meaningful movement off the ball.
I still donât know what to do about the lack of a proper striker though, but that is probably more a fault of the army of bods above RMâs pay grade. |

With Nathan Jones, it soon became clear that he did not have a plan A let alone a plan B. he very quickly syarted blaming the players, and his only response to how to get better was, âWe have to try harder, be more intense.â
Whoever identified him as a candidate and or interviewed him for the job must have been booking their holidays at the same time. From a player perspective, they knew they were on a hiding to nothing, as jones wasnât bringing anything to the party, and a team that desperately needed help, motivation and better ways of doing things were left to dream it up for themselves.
Even incompetent recruiters had to admit is was a big mistake to appoint him. if i was the owner, Iâd have told the CEO to get his finger out of his bottom and sort that mess out.
Regarding how much more time RM gets, I think it is way too early to make a decision on whether he should continue, given what the owners have decided and done over the past 15 months. And that is not what I would have decided. But we are where we are. Look at Everton. The squad performed for Dyche last season, and will undoubtedly do so again. Every team (almost) has a dodgy patch in the season. Who knows if Everton are just having theirs early? Far too soon to say one way or the other, and so it is with Southampton and RM.
I would agree that we have to get a win in the next 4-5 games though./ |

If it is not value for money, fans can vote with their feet. The fact is, there are plenty that see value in what others see as poor value. My vacated season ticket seat was quickly snapped up by a fan eager to watch Championship standard football, and the same again to watch Championship standard football trying to compete in the PL.
It is a market that clubs need to exploit if they donât want to keep putting more money with little chance of getting any return. |

I think this is a load of tosh. RM has not changed his attitude or approach for most of last season or this. During the summer, the owners rewarded him with an extended contract. Does anyone seriously imagine this was done without reflecting on his approach to management? Yet 3 games into the new season he is suddenly on trial? Laughable.
You will all know I have been sceptical about his appointment from before day 1, and I remain unconvinced, but SR are hard nosed businessmen, and donât respond like emotionally distressed supporters. (I remain emotionally distressed by our predicament by the way). |

They only wonât because of a technicality and because they were relegated before the file date for their accounts. That anomaly can easily be fixed for the future. It is not a âdo not go to jailâ card for the likes of Man City. |
