On this day in 2008 he signed for the first time with the club. What a player and what a great time. I think some of the football that Warnock team played was fantastic. Him and Routledge ripping up the league.

To think that the flappy faced idiot that is Redknapp, the so called great man manager, eventually bombed him out the club

Not just Redknapp though was it?
It was only really Warnock who knew how to get the best out of Adel, he must have had more than 10 managers throughout his career.

I'm afraid Adel needs to take a look at himself as well, he should have been a regular starter at one of the top 6 clubs for sure

Agree with this Nick. We had the best of him really.
Ridiculous that he didn't go on to far greater things with that talent

The usual thing with QPR players, if he had his head screwed on properly he wouldn't be at QPR, he'd have played top flight football and probably Champions League for many years.

But then if he wasn't a bit mad, would he have been the same player?

I'd still have him back as a 'play maker' especially after last night.

You look back at players like Adel, Buzz, even Faurlin and Freeman and these were all players that had that bit of magic or a pass that seemed two passes ahead as a playmaker and we really are lacking. You look at a player like Bannan at Sheff Weds and you wonder just how much better we would be with a player of that vision in out team week in week out.

Never knowingly right.

Yes a Faurlin equivalent is what we need - one can that do the standard running/tackling/heading but can pick a pass too.

Was that what Madsen was supposed to do??

With the ever growing injury list in midfield and form issued I'd have Gorgeous Ronnie Edwards as the holding player in midfield. Can do the Field the shield role but also had a pass in him

Ollie would've made him captain and start him every week in midfield.
I'd drop Colback after that last performance due to his apparent lack of bollux

I think a large injury list leads to complacency for a few of this squad, as they know they are going to play even if they just swing a leg.

I say shake the whole team up, blood a few of our young youngsters if we can

Its unfair to chuck them into a losing team, but I'd rather watch some kids trying to win than seasoned 'pros' trying not to get hurt

Er hmmm yeah maybe, but ideally not in a match against the league leaders.
