Anthony Fauci pardoned on 15:01 - Jan 20 with 932 views | Tummer_from_Texas | That's not going to stop the investigation into his corrupt actions, it won't stop the truth from coming out. No worries, America's Dr Mengele would probably be dead by the time he ever faced accountability in any case.

Anthony Fauci pardoned on 18:28 - Jan 20 with 754 views | AnotherJohn | The really controversial pardons came in the last half hour of Biden's term. https://news.sky.com/story/joe-biden-pardons-public-servants-to-guard-against-po The interesting question here is whether accepting such a pre-emptive pardon is a tacit admission of guilt. The 1915 U.S. Supreme Court judgement in Burdick v. United States suggested it is, but more recently this has been questioned by lower courts, who say that it may be a way to protect the innocent from capricious proceedings.

I think it guarantees no future prosecution for the recipient holding the get out of jail card.

So can these people now theoretically go on a massive killing spree and still be immune from prosecution? Or are they just pardoned for specific future crimes that they might potentially be implicated in? It’s all a bit silly really. I can’t imagine any of it would hold up in practice.

I think it’s for past misdemeanours that have yet to be discovered. I’m sure Tummer has a bit more insight than me.

Translated into US-English, misdemeanours and felonies. Mostly the latter with the named actors I expect.

The great thing about it, is that now: 1) you are giving the department of justice probable cause to open up a deep investigation into Fauci's ties to the Wuhan lab, and a deeper dive into the things he has already been caught lying about; 2) these "pardonees" - most importantly Fauci and the Biden family - can't plead the 5th.because they aren't and won't be under indictment. They've got to testify now, because these pardons still don't make them immune from perjury. While it's unfortunate that these criminals won't ever be held accountable, they will still get fully exposed, which is what America really needs to ensure we never again make the same mistakes.

Because finding out the truth about things, many, many things, has stopped anybody from making the same mistakes....over and over and over again. If only humanity would learn from our mistakes. Now then, these 1600 rioters Trump has pardoned, they were caught on camera, why are Biden's pardons worse than Trumps when he has basically helped to incite a riot and then pardoned the people whp turned violent on his behalf. The whole idea an incoming and outgoing POTUS can dish out pardons seems totally absurd to me. Nearly as absurd as the UK honours system.
