Well I have seen plenty worse than this but not for a long time.
You're rightabout the negativity though we have perked up this last 10 minutes.
It is still my opinion that Grimes is an anchor in our midfield that stops us moving forward, who takes all the pace out of our attacks by playing keepball AND him and Fulton just don't work.
As others have said, a big striker yet we don't cross and an L2 side down to 10 men and we sill play safe.
NB, my son who is 15 and is also watching (and I haven't said anything) just said...this is appalling! And he's the optimist to my pragmatist. |

We were very cautious until the second goal but that caution won't get a second, or maybe even the first goal in the Championship.
80 mins gone and apparently we had 77% possession and over 760 passes to Gills 121.

We spent so long getting the ball up field because we felt we needed to complete at least 6 passes before we do.
An example if this was in the 49th minute. The ball was being triangulated over on our left, Cabango on his own in the right. Only after the ball going to each in the triangle did it come to Cabango who then pushed it forward. But it’s these delays tha allow better teams who would have studied us to arrange the DM and back line accordingly. We need to be quicker.
Sorry about these points being made ad nauseum points but my frustration is getting the better of me. | |
