The guy looks shattered. Football is a cruel game at times

We have to now look at everything he’s said and almost everything he hasn’t said, making sure we back him and the players for the last few months of the season.

Has he been a perfect manager? No. Does he get everything right? No. Do we always agree with his choices and tactics? No. But he’s the right manager for Rochdale Football Club and probably the biggest attribute we have at the moment.

Everyone at the club needs to focus on how we get through this and ensure we realise how important McNulty and his staff are to our future at this level. The meandering, plethora of mistakes, lack of suitable skills and an inability to capitalise on a fantastic fanbase have led us to the foot of the iceberg.

Let’s recognise who the captain of the ship is and his role in somehow avoiding total disaster.

Reflecting on that, i think it's important that he knows he's appreciated

He might do, but something more tangible on matchdays such as "Jim McNulty's blue and white army" would go a long way towards that, and something i've yet to hear (haven't been to every game)

Having us within 2 points of 5th place in these circumstances is every bit as amazing as anything Keith Hill accomplished

Two excellent posts and it’s evident across social media that 99% of supporters appreciate what a superb job he’s doing in unbelievably difficult circumstances. If people can’t get behind him and the team at a time like this then we’ve no hope of changing their minds I’m afraid. Some people are so far out of touch with reality that it’s quite scary really.

He's got both legs and arms tied behind his back with a blindfold on.

Injuries were always going to bite this squad at some point in the season but you have to feel sorry for him, he'll be wondering when the first time he can't put out a full XI is. Anyone that had expectations of us just fighting off relegation again and arresting our slide into oblivion can't complain about what McNulty is doing.

I don't do twitter so can't post a link but the exiles whatsapp group just showed a message from Jez thanking everyone for their best wishes and that he's ok.

YOU do not have the right to give someone else permission to tell me what I can and can't do.

Even though he hadn't had the best of games, when he was subbed against Fylde at home he was applauded by every stand, starting with the Willbutts as he walked round

Seems to me he's "on a journey" after starting as a youth at the top of the pyramid, but that kind of thing will go a long way and he could turn out to be another huge asset given time

there is something there but I am not sure he is really ready for this level yet, he needs to develop better instincts about his role and maybe see if his pace can be improved. He is a really raw talent, a bit like Baah was. a coaching challenge I imagine but hopefully worth the effort.

Yep, the stuff he didn't say, was a worry. So we won't be seeing any transfer monies that the Board had planned for now. With that in mind, does the Trust have any point of view on what is the best immediate action for fans that can help. It seems to me that we need as much cash in the system as we can this week. A meeting on Saturday to discuss how we might all start saving £10 a month is a bit like re-arranging the deck chairs on th Titanic and will be too late. Should there be a call to fans to buy as many of the 50,000 shares this week as they can so there is at least some cash in the club....and a hope that Jim can use some of it? Or will it fall into a deep empty well?

Given that at the end of the AGM, the question was posed as to how long the further input of £105k by SG would take us, the answer came back "the end of January", barring other sources of income e.g. player sales, add ons being realised

Given also that Nevett is now injured, my take is that the 50000 share issue is solely designed to help see the club through the remainder of the season and allow for further talks with investors. It's a last throw of the dice

We've had enough rotten luck with injuries to suspect there's some kind of jinx involved
