Falling Out Of Love.. 16:46 - Jan 30 with 9100 views | JJB | I really don't give much of a shit these days about QPR. I have been going since I was 13, I am now 47 but the last few years has finally taken its toll, I fear. Maybe I’m just getting old, maybe the fact I have pants older then Jack Clarke and maybe the fact that the owners talk constant crap about progression when there isn’t any and players repeating the shame old lines defeat after defeat plus I have read on various QPR message boards people pulling their hair out over the fact that Wells has left, I don't care. Now I read the BFG is going, I really don't care , are we going to sort the defence out? I’m past giving a shit. Don’t get me wrong, I will always love this mad mental club of ours, I love the bush and meeting up with pals on the matchdays I now decide to attend but the boards massive lack of aspiration and ambition is finally taken it’s toll and I feel I might not be alone in feeling like this, tell me it’s not just me!?! Is it!?!? I think Friday night kinda summed it up , if the club don’t give a fxxk then why should we? Ok, it’s the FA cup I hear you say but I don’t see any ambition in the league either, is staying up really the stuff that makes people go to games and spend their hard earned cash? I’m sure many of you will be thinking piss off and support Fulham then but that’s just daft, I just think I’m falling out of love with the modern game and the crap that comes with it like twitter, sky sports and foolish post on football forums, a bit like this one I guess.. Rant over and oh, come on you R’s. [Post edited 30 Jan 2020 16:51]

So have I mate, but why does it always seem that we have to take 2 steps backwards after every forward one? If we couldn’t defend with BFg,how are we going to manage without him?And the main reason we were outscoring the opposing teams has now departed too.Why do they build our hopes up just to let us come crashing back down to earth with an almighty bump? I don’t think many of us expected anywhere near this good a season, but a crafty run of results might’ve seen us in a more positive position for next season,or even a close run with the playoffs. We’re doomed I tell ya. [Post edited 30 Jan 2020 17:16]

Falling Out Of Love.. on 17:08 - Jan 30 with 5337 views | Toast_R | I stopped going after 2016/17. Mainly cos I have two children now and chose to spend the vast amounts of money following a football team costs these days on the family. Like you I'm not that enthusiastic about it now, how can you be with FFP hanging over the club. Have to sell your best players, I know it's always been that way but now we have to sell just to have a chance of staying in the second tier? Nah, bollocks, not what I enjoy. I reprieved and went to QPR v Swansea in the cup. Hadn't been to LR for a couple of seasons, loved it, 5-1 happy days, fourth round of the cup, like the good old days. Made myself go to Sheff Wed last week in the belief we'd make the fifth round and the feel good factor would remain. Then QPR tossed it off for no reason and treated the fans like mugs. Absolutely no incentive to go back again any time soon. Will always follow QPR but something inside of me died. The EFL need to do something as I'm sure hundreds of fans up and down the country feel the same. What do you have if you don't have hope?
Falling Out Of Love.. on 17:17 - Jan 30 with 5241 views | qprxtc | I was going to write something very similar but was going to do it after my eighth pint of Guinness tomorrow. I feel the same. I’ll never stop supporting Rangers but my days of letting them take over my life are long gone. I couldn’t name 90% of this squad, don’t know who plays where or care. I only heard of that Wallace fella when he got sent off. I can talk in generalisations about the team. They played well, crap, alright etc but far more clever minds than mine have that all wrapped up on here about the intricacies of it all. Who cares what I think about it. I don’t. I can still name pretty much any QPR result from 1972 to 1994ish, when the Guinness really took hold. But would struggle to remember any from the last five years. The thrill has gone, even though this season has been more fun than I expected and not every second half is spent in the Blue and White Bar. Maybe if I didn’t live twenty minutes walk away I’d stop entirely. But then how would I meet people like Daniel Paddox? Football in general is such a pain in the ar£e these days and the mantle it’s taken on in the national culture is overwhelming. That’s all down to Sky. And f uck them. I’m 50 tomorrow. The first drink is about to be sunk. God bless you all.

Falling Out Of Love.. on 17:26 - Jan 30 with 5182 views | bosh67 | I feel much the same. Went for 45 years with my dad but he's in his 80s so we just pick out a few games now. Sky, the money, the cost, it does take a lot away for me. I have enjoyed what I have seen this season for the first time since the 2011 season. I am getting bred of people shouting at Warburton and Bhatia every time we lose. It's crap really. Like you I will always bleed blue and white hoops but it only take s me 3-4 hours to get over a defeat rather than 3-4 days!

Well for what it's worth, happy 50th birthday tomorrow. My love for watching football has diminished with Sky. I used to love MOTD, The Big Match, Cup Final day, etc. but the magic has gone. I get more of a buzz from playing than watching but even then the legs are starting to go. Despite all of that my love of QPR remains.
Falling Out Of Love.. on 17:48 - Jan 30 with 5031 views | Hayesender | I think a lot of it is an age thing, and other priorities taking over. In my teens through to my late 20's, early 30's, I'd not go to family gatherings and work my holidays out around attending as many away games as I could. I'm 49 now, and my enthusiasm has somewhat curtailed in the last few years, although I still do most home games, I can't justify the time and money for most away games now. Having said that, I'm going to Huddersfield in a couple of weeks, and I can't bloody wait

If we can’t afford our highest paid player now, what has changed since the summer? We’ve got even more wages off the books with Wells and Scowen,so why get rid of him now?Especially with Cameron missing the next 2 games and god knows how long before barbet comes back.

I thought we defended far better without him against Leeds than we did with him against Wednesday!

| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

I'm with you there Baz. Hilarious results against Cardiff (against whom I have a grudge since the play offs) and Leeds (who I just plain dislike), the emergence of young players who you suspect are going to be outstanding, if not for us then for their next (Prem) club, Hugill's face of outraged innocence etc. So much better than watching Barton, Traore, Henry, Sandro, Rob 'fcuking' Green et al managed by media Roly Poly magnate Harry 'it was Rosie, honest' Redknapp. Honestly, that was us! So much better these days

Falling Out Of Love.. on 18:22 - Jan 30 with 4852 views | stevenagehoop | Can relate to a number of these posts. Football was always Saturday afternoon, meet your mates watch the game catch up in pub after- throw in the odd midweek game. Then sky got involved - weeks without Saturday game - Friday, Saturday lunchtime evening, Sunday, Monday and then even Thursday evening - the football had occasional ups but mainly downs - the games started to become secondary to the meeting up and banter. Followed rangers more years than I care to remember season ticket holder for decades player sponsor but the club lost its soul its getting some of it back with good work in the community and whilst this season has seen some improvement what I have seen on the box has not been enough to draw me back. A good performance reviving hope but then the next game fails to continue that improvement. Sheffield Wednesday in the cup was a chance for the club to make some more much needed money but yet again the chance was blown with strange team tinkering. Even with the fair play issues Fans deserve better when the chances arise to give them something to cheer. They are still and always will be my team but it doesn’t hold the same magic as it did when I was a kid watching the first third division team win the league cup and whilst sky has played its part in bringing about this loss of interest so has the fare on offer.

Did you forget to add a line? Although we couldn’t defend or keep our goals with him,he had experience, which is something that is sadly missing from our defence full of headless chickens, and masterson.

No, because anything after that is irrelevant obviously. This is absurd.
Falling Out Of Love.. on 18:56 - Jan 30 with 4668 views | runningman75 | I was feeling optimistic until this week. Wells departure was saddening and the club must have known what is going on. Shame he was not played for 90 minutes in the cup even if we still lost BFG departure leaves us with a young player who Warburton was going to send on loan and 2 injury prone centre backs so not feeling so optimistic this evening.

Falling Out Of Love.. on 19:05 - Jan 30 with 4635 views | eghamranger | Felt the same a couple of years ago and hardly go now (mainly cos I work at spurs and arsenals grounds most weekends) however I do miss it, but spent so much going to HQ over the years that I feel better earning money at matches now. I am concerned though and it is sad that we needed a couple of players to be fighting for a top 2 position, but now we have lost wells cos obviously we couldn’t afford him, scowen and now BFG on loan. Clarke is a decent recruit and love it that Masterson is doing well, but it is sad, it’s a poor league this year and we need continuity and keep trying to be positive. Still love it though..
