Yes, talks still ongoing and should have some news tomorrow night (I know just hours ahead of the deadline). I know we said the weekend, but talks have continued and continued throughout. Will definitely stick something out tomorrow.
Season tickets 2019/20 on 18:27 - Apr 29 with 2823 views | rafc1984 | I would like to know how they are going to accommodate us season ticket holders from block U. Assuming everyone in pearl street renews, that leaves us poor fookers sat down near the front in the p!ssing rain as I did a reccy before the match on Saturday and theres no decent seats available. Disgraceful really when we've been sat there for years to be left in the sh1t seats.

Thanks for the update. With the positives of listening to feedback from supporters to make improvements, it also allows the club to get any changes out to fans via their own website ahead of season tickets going on sale on Wednesday.

Should be nothing to discuss really!!! Gonna lose so many young fans if the club don't reverse this stupid decision.

That's because loads of the seats further back behind the goal are taken up by season tickets for people who do not turn up! This is where the kids season tickets causes an issue. As other posters have mentioned they would like to buy a number of kids season tickets to sit next to them that they will use regularly. I do wonder though how many kids tickets season have been sold that are very rarely used which make decent seats unavailable for other potential customers? My sister once bought a kids season ticket for her daughter, who came to one game all season. Her rational was that it was worth paying £10 for her (my sister) to have a decent seat if she occasionally came to a game. Another point in case - after a few games this season the seat next to me had a season ticket sticker put on it, but no one ever uses it. If anyone I know wants to come to the game and sit next to me, then there is the uncertainty as to whether they can. On Saturday before the game three guys were a bit annoyed that they could not pay on the gate at the Pearl Street turnstiles. Supposedly all tickets were sold out, yet their were loads of spare seats. I am not sure if they went into the Sandy, but that is potentially three people who could not attend the game for no reason. I am not sure what the answer is, maybe the use of the ticket could be monitored, although this is probably logistically difficult to do.It does seem unfair that genuine customers cannot buy enough season tickets for regular attending kids, but also unfair that good seats are taken by kids that never/very rarely attend, especially with sections of the Pearl Street unavailable next season.

Did the same myself. Have always renewed online in the past as it's difficult to get to the ground during the week so how is it going to work? Is it going to allow you to select your normal seat or is it going to say you have to go to the club?

Blocks U and V weren't needed for away fans for the Sunderland game - they didn't sell-out the Wilbutts Lane.

I was under the impression they had sold all 4000 tickets, well that is what DB seemed to say in his interview. Anyway I will be getting myself a season ticket for the next season.

The only worry is if they decide to start using this area of the stand for low attending away crowds in order to close the away stand and save some money. This would make sense financially but would mean there could be quite a lot of games where you're moved.

Season tickets 2019/20 on 13:19 - Apr 30 with 2182 views | EllDale | I think that there is less chance of that now that we have kept our L1 status. If we'd gone down with the likes of Exeter, Stevenage and Crawley on the fixture list I could have seen it becoming a regular occurrence. I seem to remember that a few years ago on some occasions (eg versus Torquay in Steve Parkin's first match back) we gave the away supporters a section of the main stand nearest to Pearl Street.
Season tickets 2019/20 on 13:25 - Apr 30 with 2160 views | Daley_Lama | If Heineken did negotiations... 1. blocks U/V no longer blocked from seats reserved 2. Able to buy multiple kids tickets 3. Season tickets 2019/20 on 13:55 - Apr 30 with 2099 views | dawlishdale | It looks like a compromise of sorts has been reached, but whilst I'm pleased that the club has listened, I must point out that it annoys me (and nearly everyone who sits around me) that there are several "prime" positioned seats in the Main Stand that have been sold to kids, but are hardly ever occupied. Thus, a seat capable of generating decent income for the club is vacant for the majority of the season. Wouldn't it be better if Adults and kids were put in the Family stand, which could be extended if necessary, thus leaving "prime" seats available for those willing to pay more for them.

I think this next season there are a limited number of seats available for kids in the Main Stand, although that still may not satisfy your point.

I don't see a problem if an adult and kid(s) attend regularly, it's the random kid's season ticket that is never used that is the problem. By making it compulsory to buy an adult season ticket in order to purchase ones for kids should help to reduce the number of random vacant 'season ticket' seats as will the country ones not been allocated a specific seat. The limit of 100 kids season tickets in the main stand is an interesting one. I suppose it does help to drive initial sales. I do wonder what would happen if 99 kids tickets are sold and a family of 5 including 3 kids try to renew in the main stand?
Season tickets 2019/20 on 15:33 - Apr 30 with 2005 views | kel | Without wanting to appear to spit my dummy, I can’t believe they’ve not allowed the purchase of kids’ season tickets without an adult one for the reasons I’ve outlined earlier in the thread. I can see the point of view of others on the empty seat issue but, frig me, about 2/3rds of the stadium isn’t used on a match day so surely something could have been sorted. I’d also prefer it if my kids went into the main stand (and would have happily paid the extra) but there is balls all chance of me taking them into a stand where knob heads are allowed to set off flares because it makes them feel hard in front of their mates. They’ll just have to become armchair city fans then which is exactly what the club should be hoping local kids don’t do.
Season tickets 2019/20 on 17:30 - Apr 30 with 1877 views | funkkk | Why the need to reserve seats at all? A few of us went in the Pearl St Stand earlier in the season and couldn't find any decent seats in a half empty stand. It's daft.
Season tickets 2019/20 on 17:54 - Apr 30 with 1825 views | EllDale | I always thought that the advantage of having your own reserved seat meant that you could roll up five minutes before kickoff and it would be there waiting for you. Mind you, I keep reserving seats on trains and board them only to find someone already sitting there......

For a variety of reasons people like to sit in specific seats. Being a season ticket gives you that privilege in exchange for your financial commitment to the club.
